We were blessed to be able to spend some time together last week reflecting on the season and what has been an emotional year.

We wanted to thank Broyles General Store & Garden Emporium, Highlands Emergency Air Rescue & Transport, Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service, Durham-Hensley Health and Rehabilitation, Life Care Center of Greeneville, Greeneville Collection Service, and our EMS Board for their support of our holiday breakfasts, and our community for their continued support.

We hope that everyone has a Merry Christmas and a safe, warm holiday season!

Please join us in congratulating Scott Sayer (front row, left) on obtaining his Critical Care Paramedic licensure after completing a course sponsored by Ballad Health. This is the highest level of training currently available for a ground-based EMS provider.

We strive to provide the highest levels of care possible for the citizens and visitors of our county, and look forward to sending more students to this course in the future.

Please keep our friends and neighbors at Washington County / Johnson City EMS in your hearts as they mourn the loss of Fred Kemp. Freddy’s 28 year career as a first responder and instructor has positively changed thousands of lives, and will continue to do so for many years as his legacy lives on.

Many of our employees have worked with and learned from Freddy over the years. He will be missed greatly.
