I stuck this sticky note to my desk today. Something about this question really resonated with me. "What can I do to care for myself right now?" I've been talking to clients a lot lately about stress management and how it's something to take seriously and to engage in routinely. Our bodies need to be tended to, to be nourished, to be care for, and at any given moment we can mindfully engage in tending. Taking deep breaths, stretching our hands, shaking out tension, getting a drink of water, stepping outside, asking ourselves how we feel, noticing where we are holding tension, etc. I invite everyone reading this to consider in this moment, "What can I do to care for myself right now?"
