Fun fact Friday- have you ever heard of an emotional release? Sometimes during a massage the body releases more than muscle tension. Our bodies don’t just house our meat suits, but also all of our lived experiences. Sometimes people cry during a massage.

Not because something is wrong.
Not because the massage hurts.

But because the body is finally letting go of stored stress. Sometimes, when the body lets go, emotions surface. Don’t ever apologize or feel embarrassed about this.

While I’ve not experienced this personally, I’ve seen it a few times with clients. Has this ever happened to you during a massage?
