Studies show individuals with autism tend to see more details than individuals who are neurotypical because of the processing of greater amounts of sensory information.

While individuals who are neurotypical focus on faces, individuals with autism, tend to look around and see the details. When you show an individual who is neurotypical and an individual with autism a person in a forest, they do see the trees. But individuals with autism also see the insects, the flowers, the moss, etc. - as well as their constituents and intricacies.

Sometimes you need a break from packed lunches 😋🍟🍔 lunch time at McDonald’s is always sure to bring on smiles & laughter! At Chapple House, we love getting the kiddos out & about to practice social skills as well as getting the opportunity to meet new friends & pair with our RBT’s!
