Lent and Easter are busy times for liturgical musicians. Lenten music is often very solemn and sorrowful for which the cello is perfectly suited. I was honored to play some cello solos this year at our new parish, Our Lady of Lourdes on the Southside. It was a big jump going from violin to cello and I loved the challenge.

Thanks to my piano teachers Barb Kubota and Mrs. Ma for teaching me to read bass clef at an early age. A special thank you to my cello teacher Thea Vorass for helping this old man check off another thing from my bucket list 🎻🎶♥️.

Thanks also to my new liturgical music director Anne Van Deusen for asking me to play. 🙏🏽

✨ April is our biggest month yet and we want you there! ✨

Next week! "Didgeridoo with Celloo" returns Friday, March 27th, 7–9pm. Expect warm drinks, uplifting insights from Jeoffrey Hutcherson and a powerful didgeridoo and cello sound journey.

Pre‑registration is required and spacing is filling up. Tickets are $35/person, with cash or card accepted on site. Bring your mat, pillow, and blanket and get ready to melt into the sound.

Thanks to Avery and his crew at the Sound Healing Studio Los Angeles for a wonderful experience. I brought home a big sister to my 19" Grotta Sonora gong. Don't have a name for her just yet, she's a 27" beauty, also from the Grotta Sonora family. Come by our MKE studio and hear her roar.

Folks our Villa Terrace event is still on for today. Looks like the snow will hold off until after the event. Please be careful driving and allow enough time to make it safe as well as home. Wear something warm and remember to bring a yoga mat, pillow and blanket.
