This was 4 years ago.
My boyfriend and I were going through it—bad.

I used to be so codependent on so many levels.
Every time I felt vulnerable, I reminded myself of this:

I’ve been through things—just like everyone else.
But I no longer see myself as a victim…
or someone that needs to be saved.

I’ve got this.
No matter what comes my way.

Because the truth is…
I don’t have another choice.
