By now, you’ve probably heard of coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10).

According to many scientific studies and numerous experts (including distinguished Florida cardiologist Dr. Chauncey Crandall), CoQ10 plays a pivotal role in heart health.

CoQ10 is a natural, vitamin-like substance found in every body cell, and is more highly concentrated in organs with higher energy needs — like your heart.

You’ll find CoQ10 in the mitochondria, which are your cell’s “power plants.” Heart cells have approximately 5,000 mitochondria each, more than in any other cells.

Inside these mitochondria, CoQ10 helps manufacture the compound adenosine triphosphate — “ATP” for short. ATP provides the energy to keep your heart beating day in and day out, over the course of your lifetime.

In addition, CoQ10 is a strong antioxidant that helps fight free radicals at the cellular level. Promoting health at the cellular level is important to graceful aging. Additionally, CoQ10 helps stabilize the membranes surrounding cells.

Unfortunately, there’s a big problem with CoQ10.

Our bodies produce CoQ10 naturally, but
with age, CoQ10 levels decline significantly.

By the time you reach your 40s, your body’s CoQ10 levels may have dropped by as much as 30%. In addition, nutritionally oriented physicians recommend that you supplement with CoQ10 if you are taking statin drugs because statins may deplete CoQ10 levels.

The connection between CoQ10 and cardiac health was first uncovered in 1957, when researchers detected high amounts of CoQ10 in heart tissue.

Today, numerous trials indicate CoQ10’s unique role in supporting cardiovascular health.

Clinical studies on CoQ10 suggest it can promote optimal heart function and normal blood pressure levels. It can also help reduce homocysteine levels, an important factor in heart health.

But if you take a CoQ10 supplement — or are thinking of doing so — please consider this warning . . .

Imagine slicing off a tiny sliver of the pill or capsule of CoQ10, swallowing that minuscule piece, and throwing the rest of the supplement in the toilet.

That’s shockingly close to what happens with most CoQ10 supplements.

You see, traditional CoQ10 is very poorly absorbed by the body. What’s more, many traditional CoQ10 supplements provide less than 200 mg a day of CoQ10, which is unlikely to deliver the cardiac benefits you’re counting on.

The reason for such poor absorption is because the coenzyme Q10 molecule is insoluble in water and soluble in oil.

The human body is up to 60% water. So most of the CoQ10 doesn’t dissolve in your body and is excreted in your urine. You literally flush it away.

Here’s some good news for men and women
looking to support their heart health with CoQ10.

To counter these absorption issues, researchers have developed an advanced nutrient delivery system they named Bioperine®.

This patented extract obtained from black pepper fruits contains the active ingredient piperine. Besides being responsible for the spiciness of pepper, scientists discovered that piperine significantly improves nutrient absorption and bioavailability.

Bioperine has been found to enhance
absorption by at least 30%!

And now a renowned heart expert, Dr. Chauncey Crandall, has taken advantage of the Bioperine breakthrough to help more people optimize their cardiovascular health.

If you’re not familiar with Dr. Crandall, he established the Duke University Interventional Cardiology Program — Palm Beach and is chief of the cardiac transplant program at the world renowned Palm Beach Cardiovascular Clinic, where he practices interventional, vascular, and transplant cardiology.

He received his postgraduate training at Yale University School of Medicine, where he also completed three years of research in the cardiovascular surgery division.

According to Dr. Crandall, you can help maintain a healthy heart well into your 70s, 80s, and beyond, thanks to a combination of daily activities and by ingesting certain nutrients critical to heart function.

Here are Dr. Crandall’s
top simple tips for better heart health:

As noted in studies published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, every extra hour of sleep you get improves your cardiac health. So make sure you get sufficient good quality sleep.
Spend 10 minutes a day in quiet meditation, reflection, or prayer to lower your stress level.
Limit saturated fat intake to no more than 7% of your total calories. Use olive oil to lower “bad” LDL cholesterol and raise “good” HDL cholesterol.
One serving per week of fish high in omega 3 fatty acids can also help promote overall heart health. Unfortunately, a lot of fish are contaminated by toxins today. That’s why Dr. Crandall has been recommending fish oil supplements to his patients for 15 years now.
Dr. Crandall also recommends that people take at least 200 mg of coenzyme Q10 daily. As you’ve already heard, this important nutrient helps produce energy that keeps your heart beating properly. It can also promote healthy circulatory function and blood pressure.
Targeted supplements for the cardiovascular system make it easier to support the health of your heart and vessels. And good news . . .

Taking matters into his own hands, Dr. Crandall has combined two of the most powerful heart nutrients, coenzyme Q10 and omega-3s, in a single daily supplement. He also added vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant.

COTREXIN® now makes it easy
to support your heart health!

COTREXIN is an advanced nutritional supplement that uses the patented Bioperine delivery system to maximize the bioavailability and benefits of its key components.

The primary ingredient in
COTREXIN is 200 mg of CoQ10 daily.

And thanks to Bioperine, COTREXIN’s CoQ10 is absorbed and utilized by the body up to 30% better than conventional coenzyme Q10.

In fact, COTREXIN contains 5 mg of Bioperine per capsule — a full research dose.

There’s a huge body of clinical research that indicates the importance of maintaining the body’s levels of coenzyme Q10. In fact, recent studies on CoQ10 reported in the journal Molecular Aspects of Medicine concluded that CoQ10 supplementation is a safe and effective way to help maintain cardiac health.

What about CoQ10 and blood pressure?

In 13 clinical studies with a total of 362 patients, coenzyme Q10 supported healthy blood pressure levels.

And that’s not all . . .

Coenzyme Q10 does more than promote cardiac health.

The brain is also a major beneficiary of CoQ10’s antioxidant and cellular energy boosting power.

You can easily understand why the brain has a huge and constant need for energy.

And fortunately, research indicates that CoQ10 taken orally helps protect brain cells and neurons against damage.

COTREXIN also provides needed EPA
and DHA omega-3s from fish oil.

It is well known that omega-3s, especially DHA, support brain and cognitive health.

9 Healthy Benefits of COTREXIN
Supports Heart Health & Function
Supports Brain Health
Enhances Cellular Energy Production
Supports Normal Blood Pressure Levels
Supports Circulatory Health
Promotes Healthy Inflammatory Response
Supports Antioxidant Activity
Supports Healthy Triglyceride Levels
Helps Reduce the Oxidation of Cholesterol
In addition to 200 mg daily of CoQ10, COTREXIN also delivers 650 mg omega-3 EPA and 100 mg omega-3 DHA fish oil. Supportive, but not conclusive, evidence suggests omega-3s help reduce the risk of heart disease.

And of course, Bioperine also enhances the absorption and bioavailability of the omega-3 EPA and DHA in COTREXIN.

EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) promotes proper blood clotting.

DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) helps raise “good” HDL2 cholesterol and promotes arterial health. It also appears that DHA may increase LDL particle size, which is related to better heart health.

Fish is rich in omega-3 oil. In a giant study of 22,070 male physicians ages 40 through 84, reported in the Journal of the American Medical Association, those who ate fish once a week had better cardiac health than those who did not.

But heart health is not the only reason to take omega-3 fish oil.

Just as with CoQ10, omega-3 fatty acids may also help promote optimal brain function.

And last but not least, COTREXIN also contains a supportive ingredient — 6.7 mg of vitamin E as d-alpha tocopherol.

Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant.

Research indicates that tocopherols promote a balanced inflammatory response and help scavenge free radicals. This supports healthy heart and brain function.

Dr. Crandall is confident in the research behind the ingredients in COTREXIN — which is manufactured under Good Manufacturing Practice guidelines — and in the processing and packaging that goes into bringing it directly to you. These ensure you receive a source of high-quality nutrients.

Dr. Crandall is so confident that COTREXIN can help you achieve optimal cardiac health that he wants to give you a special opportunity.

Want Better Appetite Control? Do This Once Daily – Easy but Very Effective

While fresh-roasted, skinless turkey is lower in saturated fat, calories, and cholesterol than red meats, and rich in zinc, B vitamins, and selenium, when it becomes a processed meat you are gobbling up a lot of bad ingredients.

Turkey bacon usually contains saturated-fat-rich dark meat, skin, and preservatives, as well as potentially cell-damaging artificial liquid smoke flavor, nitrates, and vegetable oil.

Plus, it delivers 60 to 70 calories a slice (just 15 to 20 fewer than pork bacon).

Turkey sausage may have half the fat and calories of pork sausage, but it often contains added sugars, nitrates, preservatives, and colorings.

Turkey jerky is loaded with salt, MSG, and added sugars such as molasses powder (refinery syrup, cane molasses), brown sugar, and maltodextrin.

Year-round, you should stick with fresh-roasted turkey — the skinless white meat. Use it to make dinner, sandwiches (on 100% whole grain bread), turkey burgers, or turkey soup.

At the deli, ask for house-roasted turkey breast — that should dodge the nasty nitrates, sugars, and super-sodium that is added to lunch meat.

Then you can gobble it up without worries.

Recent research confirms the idea that gut health and brain health are tightly linked. Metabolites excreted by gut bacteria are sensed by afferent nerve endings in the gut; their level is reported to the brain via the vagus nerve.

Bacterial metabolites include some substances that are very similar to brain neurotransmitters such as dopamine. In other words, microbial metabolites can interact with the brain and influence behavior and feelings.

The human gut contains more than a thousand species of bacteria. Trillions of individual bacteria are in the gut, meaning the human body contains more bacteria just in the gut than cells in the entire body.

The gut microbiome weighs about three pounds. It contains 20 million bacteria genes; the human body has only about two thousand.

And the gut contains far more neurotransmitter chemicals than the brain itself. In fact, about 90 percent of the body’s serotonin is produced in the gut by enterochromaffin (EC) cells.

The process is highly dependent on the presence of gut bacteria. The bacteria grow and produce metabolites within the gut that stimulate the EC cells to produce serotonin.

Gut bacteria metabolites may also be important in a number of neurodegenerative diseases. In autism, for example, gut microbiota appear to alter the immune system and metabolism.

People with autism often have higher intestinal permeability and show a higher antigenic load from gut bacteria. Their gut biome bacteria are less diverse, and Candida is twice as abundant.

People with autism also have higher than usual levels of LPS (lipopolysaccharides, also known as endotoxin) in their blood. LPS is released from the outer cell walls of gram-negative bacteria when they are destroyed. LPS leads to inflammation that carries over from the digestive tract to the bloodstream.

The presence of antibodies against LPS in the blood indicates that the endotoxin has infiltrated the systemic circulation through the intestinal wall — well-known leaky gut syndrome. LPS elicits a strong immune response that may be closely related to autism symptoms.

Similarly, elevated LPS from intestinal permeability is noted in brain disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease, cognitive decline, dementia, and mood.

Fat-soluble vitamin D protects bone health and helps the body absorb dietary calcium, magnesium, and other minerals.

We can get vitamin D from fish, liver, sunlight, and supplements.

Dr. David Llewellyn and his associates at the University of Exeter Medical School in the United Kingdom reported in the journal Neurology that low blood levels of vitamin D are also associated with a greater likelihood of developing Alzheimer’s disease.

The researchers measured blood levels of vitamin D in more than 1,600 adults with the average age of 73.

The subjects did not have dementia at the beginning of the study. Volunteers with vitamin D levels of less than 25 nmol/L were twice as likely to have Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia at a follow-up five years later.

Earlier laboratory studies indicated that vitamin D helps break down brain-toxic amyloid proteins, which may explain the connection between low vitamin D and greater dementia risk.

The new study demonstrates an association with dementia risk but not a cause and effect relationship; however, it strongly suggests that getting adequate vitamin D may protect brain health.

15 Prostate-Health Promoting
Vitamins, Minerals, and Herbs.
To date, my investigations have identified 15 vitamins, minerals, and herbs that naturally support proper prostate function. Since you’ve stuck with me this far, I know you’re truly interested.

So let me give you the full list of prostate support supplements right here, right now as your reward for reading this advisory . . .

Saw Palmetto Berry Extract — This healing herb helps reduce the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone, or DHT, which is thought to be one of the primary reasons that our prostate size increases as we age. Plus, it contains compounds that promote proper inflammatory response.
Plant Sterols with Beta-Sitosterol — This plant-derived nutrient is popular in Europe to promote prostate and urinary tract health — mainly because of its benefit on lowering levels of the 5-alpha reductase enzyme to reduce DHT. To confirm the benefits of this herb, another study was performed using 177 men. Again, urinary flow values increased while residual urine volumes decreased substantially.
Pomegranate Fruit Extract — “Possesses strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.” Pomegranate fruit extract gives you the necessary compounds without the added calories of drinking pomegranate juice.
Pumpkin Seed Powder — “The chemicals in the pumpkin seed cause an increase in urination (diuretic effect).”

“In addition to being a rich source of zinc, pumpkin seeds are packed with . . . the antioxidants selenium and vitamin E, which are good for the arteries,” says Leslie Bonci, director of sports nutrition at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Healthy arteries are essential for proper male sexual response.

Pygeum Africanum Bark — In a double-blind, randomized study, this herb produced clinically important findings as measured by the International Prostate Symptom Score, or IPSS, also known as the American Urological Association symptom index.

If you’ve never heard of Pygeum africanum bark or seen it in a store, don’t worry — while you’re perfectly free to go searching for all 15 of these remedies yourself, I’m going to tell you how to easily obtain all of them in just a moment.

Boswellia Gum Extract — Back in the 1970s, scientists in Germany discovered that the herb boswellia could be used to help promote proper inflammatory response in the body. Although this potent herb is best known for supporting joint health, I added it to my list of prostate support supplements because of this ability to promote proper inflammatory response.
Stinging Nettle Root Powder — Patients who had been treated with this herb experienced significant support for their prostate health.
Lycopene — Several epidemiological studies found that men with high intakes of this phytochemical were more satisfied with their prostate health. Lycopene is a terrific male enhancement compound found naturally in tomatoes, the fruit the French like to call “love apples.”
Flower Pollen — Since its discovery 50 years ago, researchers have stated that the healing compounds from flower pollen may “provide dramatic relief [from] common prostate conditions.”
Hydrangea Root Powder — “Used for urinary tract problems such as [prostate problems . . . May] cause increased urine output, which could help some urinary tract problems.”
Selenium — It has been suggested that men with low levels of selenium may benefit from including this mineral in their diet to alleviate prostate symptoms.
Vitamin D3 — Vitamins enable essential processes in the body. However, many men have a deficiency of this particular vitamin, which is essential for male health. Taking supplements may make up for the common lack of vitamin D3 in many men’s diets.
Vitamin E — Large population-based studies in Finland found that taking vitamin E reduced men’s dissatisfaction with their prostate symptoms.
Zinc — “It is evident from this study that [common prostate symptoms] may be associated with a reduction in the levels of tissue zinc.”
Copper — Another trace mineral essential to the health and function of your prostate is copper. “Copper health benefits regarding prostate health, BPH, and prostatitis [are] related to its association with zinc. That’s why it’s important to maintain a healthy balance of zinc and copper.”
All 15 of these safe, natural nutrients promote optimal prostate health, including proper urinary flow.

You can find many of these nutrients in supplement form at your local health food store with no further help from me. You are perfectly free to take this list and do that, though you may have to shop around quite a bit to find all 15 . . .

However, I am a realist. I know if I were to hand a patient a list of 15 supplements I wanted him to start taking, he’d be very unlikely to act on it.

Some men might experiment with one or two of them, but my years of study tell me that small, regular doses of a full spectrum of male support supplements is the way to go. And some of these supplements actually require that they be used in combination with others in order to be safe and effective.

Even if you were to find all 15 supplements readily available, it is not efficient to take 15 different capsules from 15 different bottles sourced from perhaps half a dozen or more different suppliers.

For this reason, I’ve teamed up with America’s leading producer of high-quality supplements, Medix Select, to make my own proprietary formulation available to you today. The formula is called Prostate Revive, is being used by thousands of men, and offers you a combination of advantages found nowhere else —

15 prostate-health-supporting nutrients in a single capsule
Each supplement in a dose that is safe and effective
Nutrients combined in the optimal balance
No need to shop multiple stores, nutrition centers, and websites
The opportunity to support normal urination habits
The opportunity to get a full night’s sleep again without all those bathroom trips
The opportunity to maintain normal prostate functioning into your later years
Most of all, the opportunity to feel like a man again, to be the man you were meant to be, with normal prostate performance

CRITICAL HEALTH NEWS

Dr. Wallach's Ten Bad Foods (and Good Foods)
Ten Bad Foods

Below are recommendations from Dr. Joel Wallach that everybody should limit or ELIMINATE from their diet.

Wheat
Barley
Rye
Oats, Oatmeal – even if it says that it’s gluten free.
Fried Food – nothing fried! You should boil, broil or bake and never more than medium rare for red meat.
Oils – Oils oxidize when they come into contact with the air (become rancid). Since almost all oil is continually exposed to some air from the time it is produced, the process of oxidation has begun in even the freshest oil. These oxidized oils cause inflammation and cell damage. (Youngevity's essential oils are injected into the gel caps surrounded by nitrogen to prevent oxidation.)
Well done red meat (IE No burned fats) – (rare or medium-rare is ok!) If you grill your food, try to have something between the food and the fire (like aluminium foil) so the juice doesn’t drip onto the flame and deposit dangerous things on the meat.
Any nitrates added to meat – (ie: deli meats) tell your butcher NO NITRATES or NITRITES!
No carbonated drinks of any kind within one hour before, during or one hour after meals.
Skin of a baked potato (or yam, or sweet potato). If you boil a potato, you can eat the skins.
Ten Bad Foods

Good Foods
Dr. Joel Wallach is an EXPERT in medical nutrition and recommends the Good Food/Bad Food list to everyone. There are exceptions for diabetics regarding fruit/sugar. You must clean up your diet for good health and to absorb nutrients.

As a bonus, here are the foods that are GOOD for you, as recommended by Dr. Joel Wallach and Dr. Peter Glidden:

Proteins
Eggs
TO COOK EGGS YOU MAY:
Poach; This is his number one choice because the water never reaches a temperature greater than 212 degrees.
Scramble with butter over very low heat and only until they are just setting up. If you can hear them cooking it’s too hot.
Soft boil with the yolk still runny. Some call them “2 minute eggs”. (Hard-boiled egg yolks with a greenish coating have had their cholesterol degraded.)
Raw Eggs are good BUT you must increase your Biotin.
Fish
Chicken
Pork
Lamb
Beef—rare/medium rare
Mixed, Salted Nuts—no peanuts
Beans
Grain Carbohydrates
Any carbohydrate (except oatmeal) that is “Gluten Free” is OK.

Rice
Millet
Pure Buckwheat (Isn’t wheat).
Couscous (made from pearl millet only).
Quinoa
Corn (GMO Free)
Vegetables & Fruits
Veggies
Fruit
Dairy
Dairy
Oils Fats and Sugars
Salt - Salt your food to taste. To properly digest your food you need stomach acid and salt helps in the creation of stomach acid.
Nut Butters—no extra sugar
Lard (yes, lard!)
Use Butter – Margarine is simply oil in a solid state. If you cook with butter, make sure the heat is low enough that the butter doesn’t turn brown in the pan.
Beverages
4-8, 8oz glasses of filtered water each day. Avoid soft plastic bottles.
Coffee
Tea
Green tea
Red wine
ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity)
20,000 ORAC points of anti-oxidants daily.

Foods high in ORAC – Blue berries, cinnamon, walnuts, curry, dark skinned fruits, unprocessed cocoa powder, acai berry, green tea, red wine (research for more foods high in ORAC).

Phytates
A note of caution to those using Youngevity products.

Phytates bind to minerals in the Beyond Tangy Tangerine, Plant Derived minerals, and other Youngevity products containing minerals. The phytates interfere with the absorption of minerals and wastes them. If you eat phytates, take your minerals at least two hours before, or two hours after you consume the phytates.

Examples of phytates:
Nuts, seeds, rice, beans, spinach, peas, lentils, legumes. Do an internet search to find more foods that contain phytates.
