Emmet and I went on an adventure today! A long car ride to see his cardiologist. She saw some enlargement in his heart, but nothing too concerning. Poor Emmet does show signs of beginning asthma. It is mild right now, so we will be starting a treatment so it doesn't get worse. I swear Emmet has a checklist or bingo card of ailments, health issues, or conditions that he is trying to check off! 🙏🐾🙌✨️🖤

Emmet had his monthly appointment today. He has still been doing that coughing thing since he had his respiratory episode a few weeks ago.

Unfortunately, his vet does think that he may have asthma. Poor guy just can't catch a break. 😿 Because of his heart condition, Emmet can not take the usual asthma treatment because it involves steroids, and being on steroids for most of his life is the reason he has a heart condition. 😿 So, we are now in a Catch-22 scenario.

He has a cardiologist appointment on Monday, so we will see what she says and go from there 🙏

Emmet has risen above so much in his 7 years of life. Possible FIP, potential cancerous mass in GI tract, heart murmur, HCM with an obstruction, and now this. He is my furry little teacher with so many lessons for me, so I feel confident that he will rise above this challenge as well 🙌✨️🐾🖤
