March is National Nutrition Month!

This month is a great reminder that small, consistent choices can make a big difference in your health. Focus on fueling your body with balanced meals, colorful fruits and veggies, whole grains, lean proteins, and plenty of water.

Simple ways to celebrate Nutrition Month:

• Add one extra serving of fruits or vegetables to your day

• Try a new healthy recipe each week

• Plan balanced meals and snacks

• Stay hydrated and move your body

Healthy eating doesn’t have to be complicated — it’s about progress, not perfection. Let’s nourish our bodies and build habits that support long-term wellness! 💚

🧦❤️ It’s National Red Sock Day! ❤️🧦

Today we wear red socks to raise awareness about Peripheral Artery Disease (P.A.D.) — a serious but often underdiagnosed circulatory condition that affects millions.

Leg pain when walking?
Cold feet or slow-healing wounds?

These could be signs of P.A.D. Early detection saves limbs and lives. Talk to your healthcare provider if you’re at risk — especially if you have diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or a history of smoking.

Put on your red socks, snap a pic, and help spread the word!

Knowing your numbers is the first step. The next steps matter just as much:

✔️ Check it regularly (same time, same arm)
✔️ Make small heart-healthy changes
✔️ Talk with your healthcare provider if numbers stay high

Your heart will thank you ❤️

Another snow day here in NC! Let's make snow cream!!

Ingredients:
-4–5 cups fresh, clean snow
-½ cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk you like)
-1–2 tbsp maple syrup or honey (to taste)
-½ tsp vanilla extract

Want to make a "healthy" swap??
-Protein boost: use unsweetened Greek yogurt + a splash of milk
-Dairy-free: coconut milk (light) for extra creaminess
-Low sugar: skip sweetener and rely on vanilla + berries

And as always, a snowy reminder to bundle up, watch your step, and take care today ❄️

January 18–24 is Healthy Weight Week!

Healthy Weight Week is a reminder that small, sustainable habits make a big difference. This week is about focusing on health, not the number on the scale.
Move in ways you enjoy.
Eat to nourish, not restrict.
Be kind to yourself along the way.
