It's HOMECOMING!
The time is finally here! Please keep this email handy for it will have important information that you need to make this experience a positive one for all involved!
Attire
Everyone will need to arrive at the meeting spot wearing shimmery toast tights and Jazz boots. If you do not have shimmery toast tights, DO NOT PANIC – please respond to this email saying that you do not have shimmery toast tights and your dancers’ name.
It may be a little chilly early in the morning, so if you have your black warm up, please put that on as well. If you do not have a warm up, please come dressed in black. Make sure that your dancer has a duffle bag to put their jackets/warm up in. If you need to purchase a duffle bag, we have them available at the dance studio for $25.00.
Meeting place/drop off
We will be meeting on Murrow Street between Gate City Blvd. and Market Street. If you are looking at Gate City Blvd., we will be on the right side of Murrow Blvd. next to the median. We will not be able to tell you our exact location because it will depend on our place in line with the vehicles. You may have to walk down Murrow Blvd. from Market Street toward Gate City Blvd. (Lee Street) to find us.
It is very important that you arrive at the following times:
Dazzling and Delights please arrive at 6:30AM
Tiny’s please arrive at 7:00AM
Everyone will be dressed in the costumes when they arrive so it is very important that everyone arrive at the appropriate time. If you arrive late, it will not be possible to stop everything to dress your dancer. Please be on time.
At 6:00 they will be blocking off the streets. You will not be able to drive down Murrow Blvd. or Market Street. It was suggested that people park in the church street parking deck and walk down to the parade location.
Please note:
Everyone will be very busy getting girls dressed, making sure the vehicle is properly placed and maintaining everything that will be going on that morning. Please refer to this email for any questions you may have. We will not be able to answer phones in a timely manner. Email will be our main way to communicate with parents about where we are located and where to pick your dancer up.
Make up:
Although we will have some make up at the parade site, please have your diva in pink lips and pink eye shadow.
Pick up:
Right now, the pick-up location will be in the parking lot in front of Corbett Gym. Please be there IMMEDIATELY after we are done with the parade. Not when the parade is over, but when we are done. It was suggested that once we pass you on the parade route, that you follow us to the drop off point.
Please keep your eyes on your email. We will keep you updated on our location through the email. Please remember that everyone would like to enjoy the homecoming festivities and we will not be able to partake in the festivities until all DIVAS have been picked up!!!
Reminders:
1. T-shirt money for parents are due tomorrow (Thursday, October 5, 2017).
2. I (Leslie) will be collecting practice leotards to be printed. Please bring them tomorrow (Thursday, October 5, 2017).
3. Parent meeting tomorrow at 6:00 for Tiny’s Parents at the dance studio. Bring your black converse!
