Krista Meder had a big week last week! Not only did she successfully pass her PhD comprehensive exam over Zoom, but she also had her first 1st author peer-reviewed scientific paper published. It is titled "A Systematic Review of Non-Pharmacological Interventions to Improve Gait Asymmetries in Neurological Populations" and you can find it via the link below. Way to go Krista!

We are thrilled to announce that Danielle Felsberg successfully defended her dissertation yesterday that was titled "Investigating the Gap Between Evidence and Practice in the use of Virtual Reality for Physical Rehabilitation – Is VR Just a Fancy Toy?" Danielle will be joining Wingate University in January as a faculty member in their Doctorate of Physical Therapy program. Congrats to Dr. Felsberg!!

Tomorrow is UNCG's graduation for undergraduate and Master's students. We are proud that VEAR Lab member Taniya Wilson will be a part of the group who earned their MS degree. Check out our latest VR collaboration with our colleagues in the UNCG Department of Nutrition and Department of Peace and Conflict Studies. We participated in a "Shark Tank" style competition last week for $100K in funding. Cross your fingers for us!
