Who wouldn't want to be here?
What do you notice?

I noticed something before I took the picture:

I was resting.

Not filling space.
Not guiding.
Not holding space for anyone else.

Just… being in my own.

That’s the part we often skip, isn’t it?

We’re so used to pushing through, staying “on,” holding it together… that even a simple pause can feel uncomfortable at times. It’s easy to overthink and fall back into fear or doing more. That’s how I know this work has changed me, too. It feels so good to be present without pressure.

Arriving and noticing are among the first steps in my Mane Discovery approach.

Why? Because
You reconnect.
You soften.
You come back to yourself.

Connecting to the well inside.

Refilling your energy.
Letting your being settle.
Remembering what it’s like to simply exist without effort.

And from that place?
Everything shifts.

I’m opening the next round of 4- or 8-session resets, a space to explore, unwind, and experience yourself differently with the honest presence of the herd. And yes, I’ll be there too, recharged and ready.
Happy Earth Day!

If your body softened, even just a little… that matters.

Most people try to think their way into feeling better.
But your nervous system doesn’t respond to pressure.
It responds to environment, presence, and safety.

That’s what we practice here.
With the horses.
With your body.
At your pace.

Your nervous system is constantly scanning for what feels safe.
And when it finds it, even through a screen… it responds.

Now imagine what’s possible when you’re actually here.
In the space.
With the herd.
Fully supported

If you’ve been craving a different way… this is it.

LOCAL NC ESA+ FAMILIES 📣

The last ESA+ funding opportunity for your teen summer experience with Mane Discovery is coming up. If you are looking for the connection, the confidence shifts, the conversations and embodied shifts… you can feel happening in real time. This is for you.

📅 Next Teen Building sessions start: April 25 @ 4:30 PM

📍 Greensboro and Chapel Hill NC

This is a 60-minute to 2-hour guided experience where teens step out of the house and into:
✔ Real connection
✔ Confidence-building moments
✔ Communication & social skills
✔ Emotional awareness & leadership

Through hands-on work with horses and simple (but powerful) guided somatic exercises, teens learn skills that actually carry into everyday life.

✨ New families:
If this is your first time, I’d love to connect with you—just send me a message or leave a comment below, and I’ll share the details.

This isn’t just something to “get them out of the house.”
It’s intentional. It’s supportive. And it’s something they feel.

And for parents…
You’re welcome to stay, connect, or simply take a breather while your teen participates. You might even want to book your own appointment.

Spots are very limited, so we can keep this experience personal and impactful.
If you’re an ESA+ parent in North Carolina…
this is something most people don’t know.
You can actually use your funds right now
to cover summer services…
but the deadline is June 22.

After that, you can’t go back and pay for June and you have to wait until the next window is opening for fall.
And most families miss this.

If your child struggles with focus, anxiety, or regulation
this is exactly the kind of support ESA+ was designed for.

I offer somatic, horse-guided sessions.
If you want help using your funds before the deadline,
just message me ESA+

I see this all the time with clients and horses.

You can want connection, clarity, confidence…
but your body tells the truth.

And horses respond to that truth.

Not your goals.
Not your words.

Your nervous system.

This does not mean calm! This means honest.

Because your system will only allow the level of connection, success, or expansion
that feels safe to hold.

So if things keep stopping at the same point…
it’s not failure.

It’s your body saying:
“This is as far as we know how to go… safely.”

And that’s exactly where we begin.
Comment “safety” and I'll send you the blueprint.

01/17/2026

You don’t need more effort or understanding.
Real shift happens when your body finally feels safe to be present.

Horses respond to presence.
To breath.
To what’s happening beneath the words.

That’s why somatic work with horses goes deeper than mindset.
It’s nervous system regulation in real time.
It’s learning to be with yourself.

And once your body learns that kind of safety-
everything else starts to reorganize.

01/06/2026

After the decision.
After the results.
After the move.
After the ending.
After a new beginning.
After the new year.

When your life looks different on the outside
but hasn’t landed on the inside yet.

You’re not who you were.
But you’re not ready to claim who you’re becoming. The world is currently loud with the language of "starting over" and “new years resolutions” there’s the silent pressure of becoming more.

But for some, January 2026 doesn't feel like a starting line. It feels like the middle of a long, quiet bridge. You may be entering this year between identities- moving away from a role that no longer fits, but not yet settled into what comes next.
In the field, the horses do not know it is a new year. They only know the rhythm of the wind, the grounding of the earth, and the truth of your nervous system in this moment.
If you are tired of the pressure to be anything other than yourself as you discover a new version of your life, I invite you to slow down instead.
The in-between is a real place. A state of transition that longs to be acknowledged.
Mane Discovery offers a space to orient yourself at your own pace. If you are navigating a transition and need a compassionate witness, a space that doesn't demand a "resolution," you are welcome to reach out.

Maybe you felt it too.

Quietly in your body-
a tug, a subtle pressure,
a tightness in your chest
asking for more honesty.

Many of us felt this last year in our whole being.
Things that once fit didn’t anymore.
Certain relationships shifted.
Some paths lost their meaning.
Old habits started to feel heavy.

For me, this wasn’t because anything failed-
but because some things were no longer true.

When I look back,
2025 was about noticing.
Seeing more clearly.
Letting go of what no longer matched who I’ve become.

Now we’re here,
in this space between the years.

With 2026 approaching,
and 2025 still asking for rest,
for reflection,
for a pause long enough to notice.

An invitation to be here.
In the present moment.

Before the Year of the Fire Horse begins in February-
bringing movement, momentum,
and truth into action.

We have time to prepare
before things heat up,
before they speed up,
before decisions feel closer
and life asks for more courage.

Because fire doesn’t just inspire.
It tests our capacity for heat it exposes our window of tolerance.

How much is too much?
When does movement become burnout?
What feels safe enough to sustain?
What does it take to move forward
without losing ourselves?

This is the work I offer in partnership with horses.

I work with people who feel that quiet pressure in their body-
the tug, the tightness,
the knowing that something is asking for honesty.

Not in the mind first.
In the nervous system.

This is the medicine that supports me, too.

With horses, we don’t rush change.
We slow down-
enough for the horse to read us clearly,
and for us to notice what we bring into the space.

Horses ask us to pay attention.
To what the body is communicating.
To what is congruent, to what we’ve been carrying
and what we’re ready to release.

In this work, we focus on:
• nervous system capacity
• attachment patterns as a map, not labels
• the body’s window of tolerance

Fire Horse energy doesn’t just ask for courage.
It asks for capacity.

The ability to stay with yourself
when things heat up.
When decisions come faster.
When life asks for movement.

This work is about learning how to:
• move forward without burning out
• grow without abandoning your body
• build capacity without overriding your nervous system.

It’s not about fixing yourself.
It’s about expanding,
safely, honestly,
and at your own pace.

If you feel like you’re standing at a threshold -
between what no longer fits
and what’s trying to emerge-
this work may be for you.

Health matters this year.
Rest matters.
And who you move with matters even more.

If last year helped you see what’s real,
this year is about responding to it,
at your own pace,
in your own way.

Not to prove anything.
Not to impress anyone.
But to live in alignment with who you are now.

That’s Fire Horse energy,

rooted, honest,
and alive.

If this landed somewhere in your body, I’d love to hear from you.

Have y’all seen the Buddhist monks who have made it to Montgomery, Alabama, walking for peace? This summer, we drove a long stretch through the South from Texas to Virginia to meet our family for the first time.
Now, the same route is being walked by these monks.

Monks are rarely seen in public. Their work is inward first.

They walk publicly for peace to highlighting something so deeply out of alignment that silence alone is no longer enough.
This walk feels like it’s for the deep places.
The places where pain lived.
The places where bodies learned to brace, endure, survive.

This land holds generations of grief, terror, erasure, stolen lineage, broken safety. Trauma didn’t just happen on this land; it settled into bodies, families, nervous systems. It got passed down quietly, like an inheritance.

The Monks decided to walk this route with presence and
With prayer, highlighting that this suffering was not invisible.

Seeing the monks walk with such intention, humility, and peace rooted deep in the body,
feels so powerful to me.

Giving permission not to look away, not to bypass, not to “move on” but to finally tend to the places that were never given space to heal. This resonates with me because our wounds require witnesses. Not just any witness but deeply compassionate witnesses.

Some prayers require feet on the ground.
And some healing begins when the land itself is met with reverence again.

They are not allowed to ask for anything so If you see them walking please give them food and Water. They will walk through Greensboro NC January 20th

12/21/2025

Today is the Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year.

In nature, this isn’t emptiness.
It’s gestation.

Stillness Is Part of the Preparation

Horses know this instinctively.
They slow down.
They conserve energy.
They move slower and breathe deeper.

Your nervous system is meant to do the same right now.

Before the Fire Horse energy of 2026 brings movement and momentum, there is this momentum, the dark, the quiet, the pause.

You already know.

Releasing the Identities That Kept You Safe , But Not Free

Deep down, your body knows what no longer fits.
Not because you’ve analyzed it,
but because you can feel the tightness when you try to keep carrying it.

Winter is the season of truth.
When the noise quiets, what’s false becomes obvious.

Horses live in the present moment.
They shed what’s unnecessary.
They conserve energy.
They take deep breaths without force.

As the year winds down, something important becomes clear in the body:
not everything you’ve been carrying still belongs to you.

Some identities were never chosen , they were adaptations.
Ways of being that once helped you survive, belong, stay connected, or stay safe.

Horses don’t over-identify with who they used to be.
When the environment changes, they change with it. without judgment.

This longest night invites you to do the same.

🐎

Identity isn’t just a story in your mind.
It lives in your posture, your breath, your muscle tone, your nervous system.

You can feel when an identity is outdated:
• tension in the chest
• shallow breath
• heaviness in the body
• a quiet resistance when you try to keep showing up the same way

These are not flaws.
They are signals.

The Fire Horse year ahead will amplify authenticity and movement.
It won’t support identities rooted in obligation, performance, or self-abandonment.

🌬️ Somatic Practice: Letting the Body Lead

Try this slowly:
1. Stand or sit comfortably.
2. Take one breath in — longer breath out.
3. Gently name (to yourself):
“An identity I’ve outgrown is…”
4. Notice where your body responds.
5. Let your shoulders soften.
6. Exhale as if you’re setting something down.

No forcing.
No fixing.
Just listening.

✨ ask:

Who am I when I’m no longer trying to be who I had to be?

One hand on your chest.
One on your belly.
Slow inhale.
Long exhale.

Ask your body:
What needs rest right now?
What wants to be protected until the light returns?

Stillness is not falling behind.
Slowness is not failure.
Rest is preparation.

The holiday season can bring up a lot. Family stuff. Old wounds. Pressure to smile. Expectations you didn’t ask for.
It’s the time of year when your body slips back into whatever pattern it knows, even if what it knows is stress, chaos, or over-functioning.

That’s not you doing anything wrong.
That’s your nervous system running its old survival script.

Our body will always return to what’s familiar
until we invite it into what it actually deserves.

And yes, your nervous system will choose old stress over new peace,
because the familiar feels safer than the unknown.

But here’s the thing most people overlook:
You can’t “think” your way into a new pattern when your body feels unsafe.

This is why we start from the body.
We get the BODY regulated first.
Then we work with the mind.
Not the other way around.

Because when fear is still living in your muscles, your breath, your chest, your brain will keep recycling the same belief over and over.
Not because you want to…
but because your body thinks it’s protecting you.

When you feel safe in your body, everything shifts.
Your beliefs shift.
Your choices shift.
Your boundaries shift.
Your whole identity starts to update.

That’s the energy of the Year we’re stepping into in 2026 “the year of the of Horse”:

moving honest, grounded, regulated, and in your own rhythm.

No more pushing through.
No more shrinking yourself.
No more repeating what hurts.

So if this season feels heavy, slow down.
Decide who you are in the moment.
Regulate.
Inhale and exhale.
Hold a simple intention.
Breathe.
