We are beyond regretful to announce that our Sunday afternoon yoga classes with our beloved The Positive Yogi will be suspended for the foreseeable future. We hope to have a new class up and running ASAP, and are looking into some outdoor, distanced options while we wait to return to in-person events and classes.

In the posture Downward Facing Dog, my heels do not and most likely will never touch the ground- WHICH IS OKAY- just how my body was made. 🤩 I love using a prop under my heels (folded blanket pictured here) to allow for extra support and grounding 🥰 Another bonus of this posture- it is also an inversion!! Want to try it out and find the variation (with props!!) that serves your body best? Join me this coming Sunday (4/11) at 4PM ET for a 30 minute all abilities virtual yoga class! Link can be found via the Linktree in my bio!

Reminder: There will be no Zoom yoga class today because of the holiday. We will see all our yogis back next Sunday at 4 pm.
Happy Easter! 🐣

We’ve had a stove for awhile now, but what we didn’t have was an outlet to plug it into! Thanks to Haithcock and CKH Electric llc, we’re finally up and running and ready to start cooking classes, adaptive ServeSafe trainings, and more once we’re safe to gather together again. We’ve never been so excited to set the clock on a stove before, and we’re already looking forward to doing it again when we spring forward in a few week!

We are so lucky to be partnered with The Positive Yogi to bring yoga to our community. Join us every Sunday at 4pm for Zoom yoga until it’s safe enough to meet in person for her classes at The STAR!

Hi there! My name is Catie (she/her) and I am the human behind ! I am a RYT200 and my passion is to create opportunities for yoga to be inclusive and accessible for anyone.

You can find me in a few different locations around the triad, teaching a variety of styles. I teach power, restorative, and chair yoga. Any community classes I teach are offered for free or on a sliding scale, which means no one is turned away. I bring my own inventory with me (mats, blocks, straps) as I understand there is a financial component that comes with the physical practice (asana) of yoga. My favorite class on my schedule is my virtual Sundays 2021 class- an all levels, all abilities class that is in partnership with the Down Syndrome Network of Greater Greensboro. This class is all about exploring variations of postures that can be done seated or with props, along with breath work and finding gratitude in how we show up for ourselves.

Outside of teaching, I love coffee, long walks in the sunshine, and cats. I have three cats of my own (Milo, Charlie, and Bear) with whom I share with my fiancé, Alex. I work full-time so you can find me teaching in the evenings and on the weekends. I do look forward to the day where I can have my own space to offer a variety of classes and opportunities to engage with and in the practice. Yoga continues to impact my life in many positive ways AND I love sharing my experience because it truly is so much more than asana- yoga is a way of being. Questions? Comments? Drop them below! ❤️
