We offer nutrition therapy that helps you to listen to your body, learn to nourish it well, feel good, and find joy in eating. At Simple Nutrition I provide nutrition counseling and education for women and their families. Maybe you feel like choosing what to eat for yourself or your family has gotten confusing or overwhelming. Maybe you feel like a short order cook for your family or that you are getting ready to do battle with your kids over getting them to eat every time to you sit down to a meal. Or maybe you are tired of dieting or feeling guilty for eating certain foods and are just ready to know how to eat for life. While eating is something that comes natural to us, it seems that it has gotten complicated, but it doesn't have to be. Diet advice is built on assumptions, and we all know what happens when you assume… Most diet approaches are all different. Some even contradict each other. But they have one very important thing in common… and it’s the common thread that causes them to backfire for most people.

It feels like everyone is losing weight right now.
We’re hearing it from clients.
We’re seeing it in conversations.
We’re noticing the quiet comparisons people are holding against themselves.
And if you’ve had the thought,
“Everyone is getting skinny except for me…”
you are not alone.
AND…if so many people are saying this…then everyone is not getting skinny right now except for you.
GLP-1 medications are a helpful medical tool for some people, especially for blood sugar management.
But when they’re used primarily for weight loss, what often gets left out of the conversation is this:
They work by suppressing appetite.
Many people stop taking them.
And weight regain after stopping is common.
This isn’t about willpower.
This is about physiology.
Your body is not broken for responding like a human body.
More importantly, your health was never dependent on shrinking yourself in the first place.
If you’re feeling pressure, confusion, or like you’re somehow behind—you’re not.
You deserve care that supports your health, your nervous system, and your relationship with food…not just your weight.

I like reflecting on the past year, thinking about what I learned, what went well and what I would like to go better. I like thinking about the next year and I like picking some areas from the ‘what I would like to go better’ department and think about how that can be possible.

I also think about if there is anything new I want to do or achieve.

It’s a lot of doing.
