Is it just me, or does our society seem to be moving at 100 miles per hour thanks to technology? While that may be nice when it comes to 2-day Amazon Prime shipping, sometimes I need to slow down. In order to keep my mind sharp, I have to turn it off every once in a while. My favorite way is by turning the tech off by 8 pm each night. Tell me, how do you slow down in this fast-paced world?

How do you feel about Summer? I tend to favor the warm weather months and the first day of Summer usually calls for a reason to celebrate, but these heat waves have me rethinking my love for this time of year. I have a life hack coming your way! Ready for it?

I think we all know our phones and computers need to be turned off and updated every once in a while, but so do WE! That’s right, sometimes the best way to be your best self is by unplugging! I’m taking my own advice by putting my phone down and stepping outside to soak up the sun on this beautiful Friday.

Do you have any New Year's Resolutions this year? I usually don't, but in 2022, it just felt right. The last two years have been ones for the record books. Many ups and downs and waiting around for things to change. This year, I want something more for myself and my life, and I'm tired of sitting around, waiting, and hoping for "something better" to come around. This year, I'm going to take my life into my own hands, and I'm vowing to make this year better than any other. How about you?

Are you having a sweet or savory day? To me, sweet days are the ones when one of my assistants (AKA the three kitties) spends the day curled up in my lap and the savory ones are when I map out my goals and make a plan to achieve them.

Spring forward, fall back… Friends, don’t forget to set your clocks back tonight because it’s the end of Daylight Savings Time!

Even though it means colder and shorter days are ahead, one good thing about this time of year is that it means the holiday season is approaching... And I'm definitely grateful for the extra hour of sleep!

How serious are you about your morning routine? Is it the same every day or dictated by something else—your mood, your workload, or how late you burned the midnight oil?

My goal is to get up before the sun and start the day with a large glass of lemon water. Then, I head to the gym for a good sweat session. I finish off my morning routine with breakfast, a book, and some kitty cuddles before starting my work day.

It makes sense for me because I work best with clear structure, and making my own rules is a huge perk of what I do. How do you start your days, friend?

I don't know about you, but I LOVE pasta. Like I would eat it every day if I could.

Unfortunately, though, I can't eat pasta every day, so I've had to figure out some healthier substitutions. On the days when I really want pasta, but I haven't reached my vegetable goal for the day, I like to make spaghetti using spaghetti squash! (You can buy precooked spaghetti squash from Costco for convenience, too.)

I also like to add all sorts of vegetables to my sauce to get some extra vegetables in. This is a great way to get your kids to eat extra vegetables, too!

Vegetables I like to add to my sauce:
* Onion
* Shredded carrots
* Mushrooms
* Riced cauliflower
* Riced broccoli

I prefer sauteing the vegetables first, but you could also let the vegetables cook in the sauce if you have extra time.

What are your thoughts on spaghetti squash? Have you tried it?
