Nancy E. Spallone, 60, of Greensburg, passed away suddenly on Friday, February 27, 2026. She was born July 24, 1965, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late James and Helen Sefton Bell. Nancy was a server at Denny’s in Greensburg for many years. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her big sister, Meg Brecht. Nancy is survived by her husband, George “Chuck” Spallone; a daughter, Jessica (Andrew Brown) Spallone, of Greensburg; a son, Jacob Spallone, of Monroe, NY; a grandson, Hunter James Spallone; two brothers: Skip Bell, of Erie, and Rick Bell, of Ligonier; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2026 followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m. at BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg.

David Joseph Trentin, 69, of Greensburg, formerly of Vandergrift, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. He was born June 19, 1956, in Natrona Heights, PA. He is a son of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Kanaitis) Trentin. Dave graciously served, for 34 years, as a Social Studies teacher at the Hempfield Area School District, twenty of those years were spent as the Work Study Coordinator, of which he was very proud. During his career at Hempfield, he was involved sports, such as coaching junior high boys (17 seasons) and junior high girls (13 seasons) basketball for 30 total seasons. He also worked many basketball games, track meets, wrestling matches, and other sporting events during his tenure, as well as after he retired from teaching; in his retired years, he worked many of these events with his son which are moments he cherished deeply. Dave’s roots in the Kiski Area (Vandergrift) and the St. Gertrude community were very important to him. He loved the Benedictine community who educated him in grade school as well as in college at Saint Vincent College; he, very much, loved Saint Vincent and its community members and always professed his roots as a Benedictine and Bearcat at heart. He was a Supreme Officer at the Hilltop Social Club in Greensburg, also serving as a member of the Board of Trustees and as the Vice President of the Hilltop Social Club in years past. In addition, Dave was a Social Member of the Polish Club in East Vandergrift, and a Social Member of the VFW Post 33, in Greensburg. Dave represented and lived his faith daily. He served as an altar server for over 60 years at multiple churches and chapels in the Diocese of Greensburg. He was a member of the eucharistic adoration group at St Bruno Parish. He was an avid supporter of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers, and Penguins, as well as local college and high school sports teams. He attended many sporting events, plays, concerts, and musical shows. The most important part of Dave’s life was the time with his family. He was a very devoted and loving husband and father. Dave was so proud of the many accomplishments of his children and family members. Dave was the epitome of generosity, kindness, loyalty, determination, and friendship. He displayed these, and many other positive characteristics, through his words and actions daily.

Besides his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in law, Joann and Ted Andrews. He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 blessed years of marriage, Elaine Andrews Trentin; a son, Joel (Samantha Prave) Trentin, of Greensburg; a daughter, Rebecca Trentin, of Greensburg; a brother, Jerome Trentin, of Vandergrift; a sister, Deborah (Bob) Stedrak, of New Stanton; two brothers-in-law: Dan Andrews, of Mars, and John (Kristin) Andrews, of Loveland, OH; and his beloved nieces and nephews, Luke Stedrak (Dave’s Godson), Vanessa (Yanko) Ibanez, Tammy Trentin, Kimberly Trentin, Kaitlyn Andrews, and Teddy Andrews.

Family and friends will be received from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Greensburg. Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Dave’s name to Wounded Warriors Project, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and/or St. Bruno Parish.

Dennis R. “Denny” Doran, 66, of Greensburg, died Friday, February 20, 2026, at home, surrounded by his family. He was born on March 25, 1959 in Greensburg, a son of Raymond C. and Nancy Baughman Doran, of Jeannette. Denny was an outstanding musician, especially on the saxophone and piano. He performed professionally from a young age with a variety of bands and was the musical director/pianist at Conley Inn Showrooms, for years. As a music teacher and band director for over 35 years, he shared his deep love of music with students at Greensburg Central Catholic High School and West Hempfield Middle School. Denny cherished spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed family vacations to Deep Creek Lake and Myrtle Beach, golfing with his sons and close friends, hunting and fishing at the family’s Rusty Hinge Ranch, and Steelers parties with all the family gathered. He was a longtime member of the Hilltop Social Club, the American Legion Post 18, and various sportsmen clubs. In addition to his parents, Denny is survived by his loving wife of nearly 44 years, Kristine “Kriss” Shogan Doran, and their beautiful family - sons Michael (Lacey) and Erik (Courtney), daughters Kelli (Joseph) Vidakovich and Megan (James) Hess, and nine incredible grandchildren who adored their Pappy: Colin Doran, Lucas Doran, Shane Doran, Andrew Doran, Benjamin Doran, Molly Vidakovich, Levi Vidakovich, Mya Hess, and Delaney Hess. He is also survived by his sister, Susan (Scott) Deutsch and two brothers: Jeffrey and Douglas (Jamie) Doran. Denny made friends everywhere he went, many of whom became part of the extended family. He will be deeply missed by so many and forever remembered. Family and friends will be received from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Private interment will follow at Westmoreland County Memorial Park.

Paulette H. Panichella, 78, of Jeannette, passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at home after a battle with cancer. She was born June 5, 1947, in Greensburg, daughter of the late Paul and Mary Gladys McCarthy Hepler. Paulette retired from her nursing career with the PA State Health Department. Paulette was preceded in death by her sister-in-law Edie Hepler. Paulette is survived by her husband of almost 39 years, John A. “Punch” Panichella; a son, Jayme Lucas, of Jeannette; a daughter, Amy (John) Polcha, of Fredericksburg, VA; two grandsons: Jacob and Justin Polcha; a brother, David Hepler, of Canonsburg; a niece, Allyson Hepler, of Canonsburg; and a great-niece, Evelyn Dye.

Marc worked for Westmoreland County 911 for twenty years. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Charlie Taylor. Marc is survived by his wife, Anita Hoffman; two sons: Craig Taylor, of Hannastown, and Christopher Taylor, of Greensburg; a step-daughter, Shanna (Zac) Clausner, of Greensburg; two step-grandchildren: Isabella Leeman and Brody Leeman; three sisters: Dawn, Lindy, and Claudia; and several nieces and nephews. Susan M. Camarote, 82, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 17, 2026. She was born November 28, 1943, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Walter and Anna Mary Patton Murphy. Susan dedicated her life to her family. She and her late husband, Gerald, a long-distance truck driver, visited 48 states and Mexico, as she accompanied him. She was an avid game player, loved the outdoors, and loved her Steelers. She attended many activities that her family members were involved in. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by all of her siblings. Susan is survived by three sons: Gerald T. Camarote, Jr., of Greensburg, David (Joi) Camarote, of Jeannette, and Mark (Cam) Camarote, of Philadelphia; two daughters: Lisa (Donald Szarmach) Camarote Matassa, of Verona, and Pamela (Bryan) Damico, of Export; seven grandchildren: Joshua (Marissa) Camarote, Marissa (Nick) Plavchak, Cory (Domenica) Camarote, Amanda Camarote, Anna Damico, Anthony Damico, and Keira Camarote; five great-grandchildren: Axel, William, Noah, Josie, and “Baby Nugget”. Jean L. Yanos, 98, of Delmont, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 15, 2026. She was born September 21, 1927, in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late Edgar and Melva Everett Dean. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Vonetta Davis. Jean is survived by a son, Keith (Laurie) Yanos, of N.
