We heard from 21 community members: the majority feel a print obituary is important, there isn’t a strong preference for which weekday the print obituary runs, and many believe that an obituary available online alone is not sufficient.

We will continue to offer print options where feasible and we’ll remain committed to supporting families by posting all obituaries on our website and Facebook at no cost, your input helps us plan with compassion and practicality—thank you for helping us serve our community better.

Recipe of the Month

Since the start of 2025, we've been sharing our favorite recipes from our family cookbook, “Not Just Iceberg,” created by Melanie during the pandemic with you as part of our "Recipe of the Month" series on Facebook. Now that the cold weather is upon us, we wanted to start with a classic soup…Chicken Noodle. Enjoy-Nat and Melanie…

Slow Cooker Chicken Noodle Soup

INGREDIENTS
• 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts trimmed
• 1 medium white onion diced
• 1 & 1/2 cup sliced carrots
• 1 cup sliced celery
• 1 tablespoon minced garlic
• 8 cups low sodium chicken broth
• 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
• 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
• 12 ounces cooked egg noodles
• 3 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Place chicken breasts into the bottom of a 6 to 8 quart slow cooker. Top with onion, carrots, celery, and garlic. Pour in chicken broth and stir in thyme and oregano.
2. Place the lid on and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or on high for 3 to 4 hours. Shred chicken with a fork.
3. Stir in cooked egg noodles and parsley and serve immediately.

* Salt and Pepper to taste
