A Word from Our Ministry Coordinator //

Hey, Branch fam! As you may have noticed or seen online, a few weeks ago, we put up a Mark 12:31 Community Shelf in each of our bathrooms. We weren't sure what to expect, but the response has been overwhelming! Our eyes have truly been opened to the needs so many of our community members are facing. It turns out that the need is much greater than we realized. To date, we have stocked and restocked the shelves a total of 3 times in 3 weeks. It is encouraging to know we are helping our community in this way, but saddening how big the need truly is. Now, we want to invite you to be part of the solution by donating new or unused toiletry items to help us stock the Community Shelves.

Acceptable donation items include hair products, soap/shower gel, lotion, women's hygiene products, baby/kids' shampoo, body spray, bathroom wipes, hand sanitizer, toothpaste and toothbrushes, hairbrushes/combs, deodorant, fabric hair ties, small bottles of mouthwash, and Kleenex. Items not accepted include razors, hair ties with metal, cleaning products or chemicals, medicine (including cough drops), scissors, tweezers, metal or glass nail files, aerosol cans, anything in a glass bottle, mirrors, nail polish and remover, and lighters/matches.

Don't wait to familiarize yourself with where to find Narcan. The Decatur County Health Department's Harm Reduction Team will be at the Decatur County Fairgrounds this weekend, and each team member will have Narcan. Be Safe. Be Smart. Be Prepared.
