✨ A Beautiful Act of Kindness Today ✨

We had a truly special surprise at Hempfield Manor today. Gwendolyn Joseph, who stayed with us for therapy in 2023, always spoke so lovingly about her time here. After her passing last week, her family wanted to do something meaningful in her memory — something that reflected her spirit.

This afternoon, her great‑grandchild Beumont and his mother delivered flower arrangements to some of our residents, hoping to brighten their day just as Gwen used to brighten the days of others. 💐

It’s moments like these that remind us: people may forget many things, but they never forget kindness. And today, Gwen’s kindness continued to reach others in the most beautiful way. 💛🌷

🌟 Inspiring Therapy Success! 🌟

When this patient arrived, he was feeling extremely weak from a recent infection and had trouble even standing up or getting out of a chair. But with just a few focused therapy sessions and a whole lot of determination. Terry made incredible progress! 💪✨

Terry is now able to stand up on his own and feel strong enough to head home with confidence. We’re so proud of his hard work and thrilled to have been part of their recovery journey. 💛

Our fundraising carnival was a huge success, and fun was had by all! Residents, visitors, and staff enjoyed cotton candy, corn dogs, popcorn, games, and even airbrushed tattoos—all while supporting a wonderful cause: the Hempfield Manor Team for the 2026 Alzheimer’s Walk!

We’re excited to announce that our Therapy Team has been recognized as #1 in Greensburg for Short Stay Discharge Function Score!

What does that mean?
Short Stay Discharge Function Score measures how much a resident’s functional ability improves from admission to discharge during a Medicare stay (100 days or less). In other words—our residents are leaving stronger and more independent than when they arrived. 💪✨

We’ve always known our therapy team was top‑notch, but now everyone else knows it too!
