Westmoreland County Blind Association The WCBA provides services and programs for individuals with visual, intellectual and physical disabilities.

Since 1948, the Westmoreland County Blind Association’s mission has been to improve the quality of life for the sight impaired and physically challenged individuals as well as to assist in the prevention of blindness. To fulfill this mission, WCBA provides services and programs to individuals that enhance productivity and independence; and educates the community about eye disease, damage prevention and detection. WCBA offers a variety of retail products and business services- from document destruction to manufacturing. All proceeds from these services are used to fund programs that benefit the individuals we serve.

Today we celebrated our Annual Christmas Party. We have so many people to thank for sharing the spirit of Christmas with our consumers. Thank you to The Boulevard for preparing a fantastic meal and catering the event, The Mt. Pleasant Township Lions Club for donating delicious cakes and arranging a visit from Mr. & Mrs. Claus. And finally, a special heartfelt thank you to our entire staff for their tireless efforts to ensure everyone has an enjoyable day. WCBA enjoyed quite the adventure today!!! We had the pleasure of hosting an educational animal & reptile visit with Kurt, owner of Petland Norwin and his assistant, Alyssa. Our consumers & staff enjoyed an amazing opportunity to spend time with these incredible creatures and learned many fun facts about their diets, habitats, and behaviors. We were delighted to have this unforgettable experience and enjoyed every minute of the presentation!!! 🐢🐰🦎🐹🐍🦜

This evening two of our staff members represented WCBA at the 🍏Green Apple Holiday Trade Show at the Greentree Marriott. Attendees enjoyed a night of shopping, networking, and sampling items from other Green Apple Barter businesses. This is a huge annual event that helps kick off the holiday season! 🎄
