He explains how fentanyl is showing up in counterfeit pills that look like prescription medications and why this has become such a serious risk for teens.

Phil shares simple, effective steps parents can take, including safe storage and disposal of medications and how to have calm, honest conversations that focus on facts and connection. He also highlights the role of community partners working together to support families and keep kids safe.

🎙️ New Episode: The New Landscape of Va**ng in 2025

Va**ng doesn’t look the way it used to, and many parents are surprised by how much has changed. Today’s devices are smaller, easier to hide, and marketed to teens in ways that make ni****ne seem harmless.

In this episode of the Just Say Something Podcast, we talk about:
• What va**ng looks like for teens right now
• How marketing disguises addiction
• Early warning signs parents often miss
• How to start conversations without conflict
• Local resources like Smokefree SC, Compass of Carolina, and our prevention partners

This isn’t about fear. It’s about awareness, connection, and prevention that starts at home.

🎧 Listen now and share with another parent who needs this conversation.

Just Say Something was honored to participate in the iCare Hub Community Event in Greenville last week.

This incredible initiative provides food and new clothing to individuals and families in our community. Our team spent the week leading up to the event volunteering behind the scenes to help prepare, and today we are proud to be on site at the Greenville Convention Center as the event serves around 500 community members.

Events like this remind us what can happen when organizations come together to support dignity, hope, and connection. We’re grateful to be part of a community that shows up for one another.

The Back in Control parenting class is helping families feel more confident, more connected, and better equipped to handle tough moments at home. When parents share how the class helped them reset, communicate better, and feel supported, it reminds us why this work matters.

Thank you to everyone who shows up, does the work, and trusts us with their family’s journey.

IMPACT Sports basketball season is in full swing! 🏀💥

Kids are building skills, practicing alongside their parents, and learning what it means to show true sportsmanship, on and off the court. We love seeing the energy, teamwork, and confidence growing each week.

And here’s how you can help keep programs like this going:
Your $5 Friday donation directly supports IMPACT Sports, giving more kids the chance to learn, grow, and thrive through positive youth activities.

Big thanks to our coaches, parents, volunteers, and everyone who gives to make this possible. 🙌

Last week, Just Say Something participated in the Greer Nonprofit Showcase at Greer City Hall, an event designed to connect local organizations with potential funders and community partners.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to share our mission, highlight the impact of our prevention and parenting programs, and build relationships that help us continue serving youth and families across the Upstate.

Thank you to the City of Greer for hosting and to everyone who stopped by to learn more about the work we do.

📱 New Episode: Parenting in the Digital Age

In this week’s Just Say Something Podcast, Phil Clark talks about one of the biggest challenges families face today: helping kids stay safe in a digital world where every app can have hidden risks. Using insights from national experts, he explains how social media affects youth mental health, increases exposure to substance-related content, and adds pressure through cyber-bullying and harmful online marketing.

Phil also shares practical tools parents can use right away, including how to spot signs of digital stress, start calm “micro conversations,” adjust privacy settings, encourage offline activities, and explain online risks with facts. His message is simple. Connection, curiosity and open communication are what truly keep kids safe.

🎧 Listen now and feel more confident navigating the digital world with your child.
