As We Head Into Thanksgiving
🍁 A Gentle Reminder 🍁
This time of year naturally nudges us to slow down and reflect on what we’re thankful for. One practice I personally love—and encourage my clients to try—is writing 3–5 things you’re grateful for each day. They don’t have to be big or profound. Sometimes my list includes hot coffee, a quiet moment, or a conversation that lifted my spirit.
From a mental health perspective, daily gratitude helps:
✨ Shift our focus from stress to stability
✨ Reduce anxiety by grounding us in the present
✨ Strengthen resilience and emotional regulation
✨ Increase feelings of connection and contentment
When we pair this with a faith-based lens, gratitude becomes even more powerful. Scripture consistently reminds us to “give thanks in all circumstances.” Practicing daily gratitude can be a way of noticing God’s steady presence, His provision, and the small blessings He places in our path—even on the hard days.
If this season feels heavy, starting a simple gratitude practice may help bring clarity, comfort, and a renewed sense of peace.
✏️ Try writing your 3–5 things each evening and see how your mindset begins to shift.
Wishing you a season filled with grace, reflection, and thankfulness. 🍂🙏
