A few moments from this week’s surgical mission in Guatemala 🇬🇹
Working alongside an incredible team with Cascade Medical Team, we spent the week caring for patients from across the highlands. Many families traveled hours through the mountains to reach the clinic for care that simply isn’t available locally.
Over the course of the week we evaluated dozens of patients and performed reconstructive procedures including cleft lip repair and other operations aimed at restoring both function and appearance.
These trips are demanding—long days, limited resources, and a lot of problem solving—but they are also deeply meaningful. Every patient represents a family that has placed enormous trust in a team of volunteers they just met.
None of this work happens because of one person. It happens because of an entire team: surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, recovery staff, translators, and local partners who make the mission possible.
Grateful for the opportunity to serve and for the patients and families who trusted us with their care.
