6 days. 96 miles. Moments that stay with you.
Just completed the West Highland Way through the Scottish Highlands with my two sisters—and it was everything you’d hope for and more. From the skyline of Edinburgh to the rugged beauty of Glencoe and the long stretch into Fort William, every step brought a mix of challenge, perspective, and gratitude.
We had it all—sun, wind, rain, and even a rainbow breaking through the clouds. Long climbs, tired legs, and the kind of conversations you only get when you’re miles from everything else. And along the way, small reminders of joy—a roadside honesty box, a curious Highland cow, and plenty of laughs.
Life as a surgeon is often structured, fast-paced, and high stakes. This was the opposite. Slow, intentional, and grounding
Most meaningful part? Sharing it with family.
