ECU Health Foundation

ECU Health Foundation The ECU Health Foundation is committed to boosting philanthropic support for ECU Health and ECU’s health sciences.

The ECU Health Foundation is the powerful combination of your generosity and our dedication. As an independent, non-profit, tax-exempt, charitable corporation, we serve as custodian for all financial gifts, managing fundraising efforts for ECU Health, the colleges and schools of the health sciences at East Carolina University and the Laupus Library. The goal of each and every donation to the Foundation is to improve the quality of healthcare for eastern North Carolina and educate the next generation of health care providers. Through philanthropy, the ECU Health Foundation is committed to providing tangible impact for patients, families and students. Over the past four decades, more than $335 million has been raised by the Foundation to improve the overall health and well-being of eastern North Carolina. All funds raised have been used to support building projects, scholarships, and faculty support along with creating programs and services that are improving access for the 1.5 million patients served by ECU Health.

We are so proud of the pawesome work the dogs at ECU Health and Maynard Children’s Hospital do every day 🐾💜

Did you know Sam and the Maynard Canine Crew are fully donor funded? You can support Sam today by giving here: https://give.ecuhealthfoundation.org/give/519222/ #!/donation/checkout

At ECU Health Medical Center and Maynard Children’s Hospital, three dogs are making a special difference in the lives of patients, families and team members. Whether in rehabilitation or the children's hospital, Clive, Erving and Sam come to work alongside their handlers ready to help patients through their journey.

“I’ve had people walk by and say, ‘You have the best job in the hospital,’” said Kasey Shue, recreational therapist and handler for Clive. “And now it’s even better – because there are three of them.”

Thank you to team members with ECU Health Medical Center Rehabilitation Services and the Cancer Center at Eddie and Jo Allison Smith Tower for taking the time to share the critical role rehab and cancer services play in our community. We had a great time learning more about ECU Health together.
