📣Health Insurance Info for Spring 2026
Our first mass email for the Spring 2026 semester went out to students who have a pending/manual waiver, a denied waiver, a voided waiver and/or enrollment, or students who have not taken action to waive out or enroll yet.
As a reminder, all eligible students are automatically billed for the Value Plan with their tuition bill. If they enroll in the Premium Plan an adjustment will be made to the tuition bill. If they waive out, the waiver credit will be applied to the tuition bill as a payment 24-72 hours after the waiver is approved by Student Blue.
If students have a PENDING/MANUAL WAIVER - there is nothing for them to do currently except wait. Verification of waivers usually takes approximately 5-7 business days but during peak times, such as now with all 16 UNC school students submitting waivers, it is taking a bit longer.
If the waiver is DENIED - students should have received an email from Student Blue stating the reason as to why it was denied. The student needs to resubmit the waiver with whatever information is needed. We highly recommend including a copy of the front and back of the insurance card.
If students have NOT TAKEN ACTION - then they need to do something!
Just a reminder, the deadline is February 2.
