Why in-home massage?

In-home massage is glorious! Seriously. You don't have to drive anywhere. You don't have to worry about being late, or getting there early. No sitting in traffic. No bad weather.
Then, once you are nice and relaxed, you get to stay home, and not worry about driving *back* home! It's great.
It's lovely for anyone, but especially
-a mom with kids! So much less planning to get a massage at home. I can come during naps, at bedtime, when your husband is home, or even bring childcare with me!
-during pregnancy! Beginning of pregnancy when you feel sick and don't want to go anywhere; middle of pregnancy when you feel great, but don't want to go anywhere; end of pregnancy, when you're uncomfortable and don't want to go anywhere 🤣 I bring everything to you. You don't even have to clean! It's a win win.
-our elderly can really benefit from massage, and in-home massage is a great option for them to get the care they need.

I'm so grateful to everyone who has entrusted me for their massage needs, and referred me to friends, family, and anyone else, over the past year! I love you all and am so appreciative for the opportunity to get to know you and help you. I am DONE for the year, taking some much needed rest and relaxation and enjoying the holiday with my family 🥰

I believe strongly in the power of touch and the reason I feel drawn to these professions is my desire to help people. Touch releases oxytocin. Oxytocin is the 'love hormone'. After only a brief time of touching, oxytocin is released. As a doula, I encourage partners to touch laboring women.
The release of oxytocin can promote shorter and less painful labor. 👩‍❤️‍👨
As a massage therapist, touch can reduce and relieve pain, anxiety, and depression. It can promote healing and restful sleep. 💆🏻
For infant massage, touch is communication and promotes bonding. 👶🏻
Touch can comfort and defeat loneliness! It encourages connection. For people who were abused or have experience with negative touch, massage can be an extremely healing introduction to safe touch.

We've had many life changes over the past couple years, all good ones, but changes that make it difficult to be attached to social media. I generally prefer to connect to people in real life and just don't utilize Facebook very often, anyway. Relationships are important to me and it's the heart of my desire to be of service to others, both as a Birth Doula and as a Massage Therapist!
