Double the love, double the joy! Meet sisters Finley Rae and Maryn—two beautiful GOB babies delivered with care by Midwife Freida Tucker.

✨ Finley Rae made her debut on June 26, 2020
✨ Maryn followed just over a year later on August 27, 2021

Watching families grow right here at Greenville OBGYN is such a privilege. Finley and Maryn are a perfect reminder of the love and strength that begins with every birth. 💗

🥧🦃 As Thanksgiving approaches, the excitement for delicious food is real! But if you’re expecting, it’s important to know which holiday favorites to skip (or heat up first) to keep you and baby safe.

🚫 Foods to avoid or be cautious with:
• Unpasteurized cider & juices
• Undercooked or leftover cold turkey
• Stuffing cooked inside the bird
• Unpasteurized soft cheeses
• Homemade sauces/creams with raw eggs
• Traditional eggnog (unless pasteurized)

✅ Safe swaps: Enjoy pasteurized juices, oven-baked stuffing, reheated turkey sandwiches, and store-bought pasteurized eggnog.

This Thanksgiving, you can still enjoy a full plate — just with a few mindful choices. 💛

🧡 GOB Babies Grown Up! 🧡
From tiny toes to growing boys—we love seeing our GOB babies thrive!

Meet brothers Brayden, born on April 21, 2009 with Dr. Bane, and Brysen, born on February 16, 2011 with Dr. Gay.

Watching these two grow into young men has been such a joy. It’s families like theirs that remind us how truly special this journey is—from delivery day to every milestone after. 💙

Physicians East proudly welcomes Jacob Hines, FNP-BC!

Jacob Hines is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a strong desire to improve Cardiovascular health outcomes across the lifespan. Jacob began his journey in healthcare at just 16 years old as a hospital volunteer. Jacob later graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and finally attended Duke University for his Master of Science in Nursing, where he obtained a speciality certificate in Cardiovascular Care.

Prior to joining Physicians East, Jacob began his career as a Telemetry Registered Nurse at Wilson Medical Center before moving to WakeMed in the Cardiac ICU. He was an RN for almost ten years before becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner, and has served Eastern North Carolina by working as a Primary Care Provider for the last five and a half years. Jacobs brings a unique perspective, having extensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Outside of his clinical work, Jacob serves on the Board of Trustees at his church and is a member of the A/V Tech Team there as well. He also serves on the Executive Committee for his oldest son's Scouting America Troop. He enjoys time outdoors while hunting, fishing, kayaking, and spending time in his RV with his wife and three kids. Jacob is an avid fan of the ECU Pirates, Atlanta Braves, and Milwaukee Brewers while also being a fair-weather fan of the Carolina Panthers and Duke Blue Devils.
