For many people, summer is a time to get outside and enjoy the outdoors. For chronic pain sufferers, the hot summer weather can be a cause of many chronic pain flare-ups. Avoid the heat on sweltering days by staying inside. Pick up a book or play a board game to keep yourself cool, entertained, and stress-free. If you cannot go without outdoor exercise, rearrange your day to where you can complete these activities in the morning or evening when it is not so hot.

One of the biggest causes of chronic pain flare-ups in the summer is when a person disrupts his or her exercise schedule. While it may be tempting to go on vacation and take a break from exercise completely, this is not what you want for your progress from chronic pain relief. Incorporating exercise into your vacation plans allows you to experience a new area to enjoy the benefits of health and exercise.
