What an incredible weekend in Raleigh! 😄👏 The BDFNC's Family Festival & Walk for Bleeding Disorders raised a little over $81,000 to fund vital programs and services for the NC bleeding disorders community!!!
Our team - Kelli Long, Chelsea Rivenbark, Scott Miller Jr, and Dr. Parthasarathy- had a great time joining everyone for a fun-filled day celebrating strength, awareness, and community! ❤️👟

We love to see our team out learning and connecting to bring patient care to a new level! 🤩💛
Dr. Parthasarathy and Chelsea Rivenbark, FNP, attended the FWGBD LAN (Foundation for Women and Girls+ with Blood Disorders Learning Action Network) meetings in Indianapolis, Indiana, last weekend. In addition to attending presentations on clinical workflows and outreach programs, they were able to network with pediatric, adolescent, and adult providers, including hematologists, gynecologists, and primary care providers who all have a vested interest in caring for those who live with Sickle Cell or bleeding disorders and have/had the ability to menstruate.

"The most impactful presentation, for me, was on the cultural and religious implications of me**es. It was eye-opening to learn how many cultures approach menstruation and will change my approach to taking a menstrual history while considering the impact of periods on the daily lives of these women, girls, and people with the potential to menstruate." - Chelsea Rivenbark, FNP.
