Melissa Marti is incredibly thankful for the care she received in the Emergency Department at HSHS Holy Family Hospital.

On April 2, a tornado was reported between Highland and Trenton. Melissa Marti was considering going to the basement when she thought she heard hail. Within seconds she was thrown into her yard, her home destroyed. With multiple injuries, including head trauma, she was transported to Holy Family Hospital. “I can’t thank Dr. Heberer and my nurses Crystal and Kristin enough. They were calm, caring, and confident and were able to save my eye by doing a procedure to relieve the pressure.” Melissa was transferred to SLU for additional care, but she is “very grateful” for the excellent, local care.
