Chemicals!!!! Sigh they have become such a common occurrence in our lives. We ingest them, rub them on us, eat them etc.

I have been studying herbal remedies for quite awhile now. Anyone who comes to my house gets doused in oils depending on their complaints. 😂

I am all for modern science, immunizations, medications etc but if we can switch out some of it for more natural remedies/cleaning products, why not do it?

I eliminated so much expensive skin care items after learning about castor oil and its health/beauty benefits. I make our laundry soap, cleaning wipes, and dryer sheets now. It saves a ton of money but also has alot less chemicals than regular cleaners. I also have a very skin sensitive child so we have to be very careful with perfumes, dyes and chemicals since she was born. (Kid was allergic to aloe for Pete's sake!).

So that being said if you're interested in getting a little more homeopathic helpers in your life I am stocking the shop with a new product this weekend. As previously stated I suffer from migraines (Not so much after my new piercing though). So I have used oils for years to help reduce the pain. I am excited to share that I am bringing you some amazing "Headache Salve". It contains coconut oil, frankincense, peppermint and lavender essential oils. I also gave each batch some extra oomph with some Reiki energy. A bunch of my family and friends have tried it out and it WORKS great!

"Self care is so important". I preach it a lot. I even have to do it. This week I had the worst migraine of my life. Nothing was touching it. I spent Thursday drugged, ice packed, and trying any trick I knew. Friday I went and had an amazing head, neck and shoulder massage from Mackenzie Rouleau, LMT, MLD-C. Which helped tremendously. I made an appointment for chiropractic care with Whipple City Family Chiropractic, PLLC. Then yesterday I went and got the "migraine piercing" Odyssey Tattoo and Piercing. 😳 Ouch! But it had helped!
I can usually give myself a helping hand with Reiki but sometimes even I have to give in to self care!

Everyone's stress levels are so high right now. Which is causing muscle pain, eye strain, aches, pains, stomach issues and MIGRAINES!!! Get the self care. Including some Reiki with me.

Today is the anniversary of the beginning of the Salem Witch Trial nonsense. When I think about the name "Witch" and all the meanings it has and all the people who have been accused and persecuted against due to the negative connotations of that word, it hurts my heart. Healers, herbalists, midwifes, psychics, intuitives, are just the tip of-the ice berg. They also accused autistic people, epileptic's or anyone out spoken or out of the accepted "norm" as a "Witch" or possessed by the devil. What a terrible legacy. Thankfully in our time people understand more of the things "healers" can do. Covens are wanted and celebrated as mom clubs, book clubs, PTSA, sewing circles etc. They are even just a bunch of cool ladies who like to learn some folklore and make cool energetic crafts. 😉 ( And i enjoy them immensely) My "Coven" are beautiful, strong, smart, kind, caring, daring and all around lovely ladies I am blessed to know. My friends, my clients, my neighbors, family, co workers, my craft ladies who come to my classes all make me a better me. Isn't that the best part of any Coven?

This past weekend we had a new floor put in our kitchen and we needed to move heavy furniture around. The next day we went and picked up a piece of heavy antique furniture that was a dream of mine. Needless to say our backs reminded us that we are not that young anymore. lol Thankfully between some over the counter meds, heating pads and Reiki we are both back to normal! Reiki is an amazing tool in a tool box of things for overall health. I suffer from migraines and Essentional oils, massages and Reiki are a huge help! In our home we tackle pain with holistic treatments and modern medicine. We are often places and my children will tell me they have a headache or a pain and want Reiki to treat it.

Reiki while it is NOT a cure is a valuable tool. Stress, aches, pains, emotional blockages are all things I can help you with while using Reiki. Did you know that most people feel heat from my hands while receiving Reiki? What a great benefit during this freeze!!

All joking aside this freeze is making us all ache. Every old injury starts to rear its ugly head reminding us "hey remember that time.....". Reiki can help with that! Besides the added benefit of the heat and the nice warm cosey treatment room (heated pad on the treatment table too) Reiki helps release aches and pains. Improves circulation and provides an all over sense of relaxation. The world's current physical and emotional climate is not great. So take some time and do something for yourself to help with all the stress.

The first Reiki Experience

This past Saturday I helped volunteer at our schools Basketball Tournament. Our Booster club hosts a huge concession stand and needed volunteers to work a shift. It's an absolute fun time! Hanging out with a bunch of amazing ladies, chatting and visiting. During the afternoon a few made comments about aches and pains which spurred others to compare in sympathy. I offered to give them each a "hit of Reiki". Only our intrepid leader had experienced Reiki before. Each lady was shocked when they felt it. It gives me a little thrill to see people's faces during their first time. The shock and then awe that "hey that's actually real"! 😆 Even I thought "Reiki" was some crazy lady stuff. Until I experienced it for the first time. That was 10 years ago and at the encouragement of my practitioner I studied and became one myself.

I can't stand to see/feel people in pain. I am often doing Reiki on people in public just anywhere. So if you see some red haired lady holding her hands over someone in public it's probably just me. Yesterday i helped with carpel tunnel, chronic headaches, back pain.
