Greenwich Hospital Office of Development Every gift, no matter the size, can make a world of difference in the lives of the thousands of people who turn to Greenwich Hospital each year.

Through private, community and corporate philanthropic partnerships, the Greenwich Hospital Office of Development helps fund critical medical, prevention and educational services at Greenwich Hospital. The Greenwich Hospital Office of Development works closely with community residents, business leaders and others to ensure that Greenwich Hospital has sufficient resources to fulfill its mission of caring. Philanthropic support enables Greenwich Hospital to stay at the forefront of medical advances to deliver high-quality, safe patient care in a compassionate and personal setting. Losing your voice can be scary. It can happen, for example, from increased voice use, aging, or a medical condition. But there is help.

We are grateful to Dr. Michael Lerner and speech language pathologist Andrew Keltz at the Voice Center at Greenwich Hospital for taking care for everyone from singers to people dealing with vocal tremor, reflux damage, Parkinson’s, and vocal cord paralysis.

Using stroboscopy, acoustic analysis, Botox treatments, specialized voice therapy, and more, they work to give people their voices back and more. And many thanks to generous donors, we have this expert care close to home. See the article at our website.

Big congratulations on this achievement! 🎉🎉🎉

We are grateful to Dr. Zion Zibly (neurosurgeon and Director of Yale Medicine’s Focused Ultrasound Institute) and Dr. Alice Rusk (Chief of Neurology at Greenwich Hospital) for leading a discussion at a recent Pickleball 4 Parkinson’s (PB4PD) event at Pickleball America in Stamford. They answered questions and covered advances in Parkinson’s care — including High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) — and the importance of movement in managing symptoms.

Greenwich Hospital was proud to team up this community program, which empowers individuals living with Parkinson’s through movement and connection.

And thank you to the generous donors who support our Arc of Care Campaign’s neuroscience initiatives and the incredible medical leaders at Greenwich Hospital!

Great teams have members who bring distinct gifts, such as wisdom and experience. One of our Campaign Leadership Council members, Dale Atkins, PhD (seen here in the butterfly jacket), called this to mind when she shared her book, "The Turquoise Butterfly." 🦋It celebrates a bond between a grandmother and her granddaughter. With it, this psychologist and author focuses on connections between generations, but the lessons--the power of listening, the importance of creating meaningful moments, and the belief in steady acts of caring--go beyond.

Specifically, we are thinking of those who support us. We see this in our donors and in our Council members. A heartfelt thank you, Dale, and our community of supporters! ❤❤❤

During ❤ National Heart Month, ❤ we are thinking about heart health — and the people helping. Meet Christopher Howes, MD, Chief of Cardiology and Medical Director of the YNHH Heart and Vascular Center, who, with a team of cardiovascular experts, ensures that advanced care is available close to home.

This is important, because heart disease is the leading cause of death in Connecticut. At Greenwich Hospital, we see the impact — that’s why we are taking action with preventive care, accurate diagnoses, and cutting-edge treatments.

♥️ To our big-hearted supporters: Thank you! During National Heart Month, we celebrate you — and the countless people you help us protect.

Who are these ❤ very good boys ❤? Say hello to Finn and Beau! They are trained therapy dogs who stop by Greenwich Hospital to alleviate stress and bring a smile to everyone they see, including patients and their families and our staff. With gentle tail wags, they calmly receive lots of “oohs” and “aahs” and cuddles as part of their method for providing comfort.

Thank you to the volunteers who share these four-legged friends with us! Our hearts are full! 🐾 Greenwich Hospital

Today, in preparation for an upcoming wall-breaking ceremony, we got a quick tour of some of the work being done on Smilow Cancer Hospital at Greenwich Hospital.

Its creation is the fulfillment of a vision to provide our local community access to exceptional oncological care. It will offer patients gene therapy and precision medicine treatments alongside clinical trials, all delivered by a team of exceptionally trained, multidisciplined physician experts. And the space will be calming and comfortable for patients and their families.

❤ We couldn’t do this without you! ❤ "The project is a philanthropic opportunity of our Arc of Care Campaign for Greenwich Hospital," said Noel Appel, SVP and Chief Development Officer, "and we are grateful to the kind and generous community that continues to help us build for our future."
