An essential part of our support is to work in a close partnership wit

h those who live or work in the region we are serving. VHP is committed to offer educational support to health care providers in areas that we serve. Our mission group provides comprehensive on site diagnosis, surgical and medical treatment of eye diseases. The distribution of corrective glasses for those in need is also an essential part of the program. Physicians, nurses and trained eye screening volunteers are our most valued resources. The superior knowledge and skill of this broad-based team and their compassionate concern for each patient’s welfare is the basis of the Volunteer Health Program.

Thanks to their dedication a good number of patients have been removed from the waiting list and have recovered their eyesight. Unsung Heroes ! This week Dr Alex Hatsis and Dr Chris Brown aided by JoAnn Hatsis and Donna Casserly will fly to the DR again for a Mini Cataract Mission of 4 days planning to do 35 cataract surgeries to reduce the number of patients waiting from one year to the other. Kudos to all of you for your dedication and compassion.
