Here for Our Community: A Denver Health study found that a culturally tailored text-message campaign significantly improved flu vaccination rates among Black children — caregivers who received the messages were 63 % more likely to vaccinate by the end of the season, demonstrating the impact of targeted outreach on preventive care.

CHA and Colorado's rural hospitals are grateful for the Rural Hospital Transformation Program funds that the state will receive, but it's crucial for the state to get the details right in how the funds are used. As noted in this story, our rural hospitals’ biggest needs, generally, are cash to stabilize operations, more staff and sometimes improvements to decades-old buildings. “You can do the transformational stuff later, but we’ve got to really get solid at the basics,” said CHA's Josh Hannes.
