Emotional abuse is a form of abuse that can be difficult to both identify and manage.

Unlike physical abuse, it is not something that leaves visible scars that can be easily noticed.

Emotional abuse can take the form of behaviors such as belittling, threatening, humiliating, and controlling. Manipulation and isolation are also common tactics used by an abuser.

Unfortunately, the signs of emotional abuse are often overlooked or dismissed.

Nevertheless, if you feel like you are walking on eggshells around someone, are often criticized or feel controlled, this might be a sign that you are experiencing emotional abuse.

It’s important to know what emotional abuse really looks like, and that you don’t have to accept it as a normal part of any relationship.
