At Winter Symposium, we had the opportunity to connect with Danny and talk about the role storytelling plays in behavioral health.

Danny began his career in healthcare sales before stepping into the psychiatric and addiction treatment world. What changed everything for him was realizing that addiction is often a response to deep pain. For many, it is a solution before it becomes a visible problem.

Today, his company focuses on helping treatment programs and mission-driven brands use video and strategic content to build trust online. The goal is not just marketing. It is reaching people in moments of isolation, reducing stigma, and helping them feel understood before they ever pick up the phone.

Programs provide the care. Strong storytelling helps people find it.

We value partnerships that strengthen both.

Why do so many partners blame themselves after betrayal?
Self-blame is one of the nervous system’s first responses to trauma.
We recently published an article explaining why this happens and how healing begins when responsibility is placed where it belongs.

New Episode Release
Let’s Talk About S*x Addiction with Dr. Stephanie Emde

Is it a high s*x drive?
Is it trauma?
Is it addiction?

In this live Winter Symposium session, Dr. Stephanie Emde helps bring clarity to one of the most misunderstood issues in mental health. We explore compulsive s*xual behavior, betrayal trauma, chems*x, and what real recovery requires.

This conversation is for clinicians, partners, and individuals who need language for what they are facing.

S*xual sobriety is not celibacy. It is integrity and safety in behavior.

Last week’s experiential reminded us what recovery really looks like in motion.

We started the day hiking through Garden of the Gods, one of Colorado’s most renowned natural landmarks. Standing beneath those towering red rock formations, it’s impossible not to feel perspective.

Each structure a reminder that:
    •    Pressure creates strength.
    •    Time builds character.
    •    What looks immovable was shaped by years of unseen forces.

Recovery is the same.
Layer by layer.
Day by day.
What once felt broken becomes something solid.

Later, the men experienced a private tour of the United States Olympic & Paralympic Training Center. Walking the halls where elite athletes train was a powerful contrast and complement to the morning.

A reminder that:
    •    Discipline beats motivation.
    •    Greatness is built in ordinary daily habits.
    •    No one becomes elite overnight.

Olympians train for years for a moment.
Men in recovery train daily for a lifetime.

Nature showed us resilience.
Athletes showed us discipline.
Recovery requires both.

Together these men are choosing strength, brotherhood, and growth — one step at a time.

At Winter Symposium, we had the chance to connect with Pierce from Sunwave and hear both his professional and personal story.

Sunwave provides a unified behavioral health platform that connects marketing, admissions, EMR, clinical documentation, and billing into one seamless system. It’s designed specifically for treatment centers across all levels of care.

Pierce’s path into this industry began with his own recovery journey. From tech to admissions to outreach leadership, and now serving programs nationwide, his story reflects what makes this field unique.

Also, his band, The Daniel Card Band, is releasing an album February 27. A recovery-driven Oklahoma rock project years in the making.

We love partnering with people who bring both excellence and authenticity to the work.

Healing doesn’t always look dramatic.
Sometimes it looks steady.

In this clip from the Valiant Living Podcast, Lee S. shares what life feels like on the other side of chaos. More communication. More presence. More emotional availability. Conversations that no longer get shut down or avoided, but met with openness and care.

What stands out here is not perfection.
It’s responsiveness.
It’s safety.
It’s the ability to say, “Something’s bothering me,” and be met instead of dismissed.

For many partners, this is what real change feels like. Not just words or promises, but consistent access, accountability, and connection over time.

This conversation is part of a larger episode focused on the partner’s journey through betrayal, boundaries, and renewal. It also includes a free Loving Leverage resource for partners and professionals.

Most of us were never taught what boundaries actually are.

In this clip from the Valiant Living Podcast, Lee S. reflects on learning about boundaries for the first time and how redefining them changed her life. Not just in her marriage, but in every relationship she holds.

Boundaries are not about controlling others. They are about caring for yourself. They create clarity. They reduce stress. They allow you to be more present with the people who matter most.

For many wives navigating betrayal or chronic relational stress, becoming skilled at setting boundaries is not optional. It is foundational to healing.

This conversation is part of a larger episode focused on the partner’s journey from chaos to clarity, and it includes a free Loving Leverage resource designed to help partners begin setting healthy boundaries without guilt or fear.

Cold plunges are not about toughness.
They are about teaching the nervous system how to stay regulated under stress.

For men in recovery, learning to breathe, slow down, and remain present in discomfort often translates directly into daily life.

This is what emotional regulation looks like when it is practiced, not forced.

Recovery is built in moments like this.

Living Valiantly

After more than 2 decades of developing, building and managing programs, Our founder Michael Dinneen finally met the partner he needed to take all of that experience and create something unique and special. Meeting Kyle Beard gave strength and structure to the vision. Kyle brings a wealth of business acumen wrapped in someone passionate about helping people heal. As a team Mike and Kyle balance each other in the creation and management of Valiant Living, a program designed for men who are truly ready for what we call “Expanded Recovery”. Our programming and housing allow men to feel safe and empowered as they dig deeper into themselves than most other programs ask.
