These are extraordinary times, and we at PEA are committed to keeping your family well-cared for. Following the leadership of local health advisories, we are currently remaining open. Our staff is taking all necessary steps to promote the overall health and well-being of our patients. We are screening all patients immediately per the COVID-19 Screening Questionnaire provided by the Colorado Department of Human Services, following strict hand-washing protocol, wiping down all areas trafficked by patients, promoting social distancing by rooming patients quickly, and wearing masks and gloves as needed.
If your child or anyone planning to be present during your child’s appointment have recently traveled to a high risk area, have had exposure to someone with documented or suspected Coronavirus, or are experiencing symptoms such as fever, coughing, sneezing, sore throat, or shortness of breath, please call our office so that we can advise you on how we can best care for your needs. Staff will remain home if they meet any of the above criteria. We will be waiving the 48 hour cancellation fee for all families who contact us to cancel or reschedule. With that said, certain scheduling accommodations will be considered on a case by case basis to ensure your child is seen within the appropriate time.
We understand that many of you are concerned about prescription drug shortages. We do not have any guidance yet from pharmaceuticals regarding delays with their supply chains or from insurance companies regarding refill policies. We ask that you please reach out to your pharmacy first and if further assistance is needed to then have a member of the pharmacy staff contact us.
We are committed to remaining up to date during this unprecedented time and will continue to take swift action in relation to the evolving Coronavirus Pandemic.
