The use of gender-affirming medical care for trans teens was rare between 2018 and 2022, according to a new study published in JAMA Pediatrics.

Roughly 0.1% of gender non-conforming teens used puberty blockers and/or hormone therapy in an analysis of over 5 million medical claims during this time period, the report said.

No adolescents under age 12 received gender-affirming medications, according to the analysis of these claims.

Memorial Day came and went but I never forgot those who fought for our freedom. I know my dad and father in law would be so very angry and disappointed with the amount of mass shootings in the USA in one month!

May 14, 2021, my dad died. My dad, Levi was a true patriot. He fought in WWII. When he enlisted he had horrible eyesight and essentially memorized the eye chart in order to pass. He was stationed in New Guinea and the unit's " Radar". They fitted him with glasses and he was given the responsibility of running the canteen and spraying for mosquitos. The day before he died, he asked my sister and her children to sing, "G-d Bless America!"

Shout out to this Dad who makes sense when he explains why he is giving up his assault rifle and handgun. I know in one country I read the government addressed gun violence by buying back all the assault rifles from the people who owned them. I know this is a complex subject but we can no longer ignore the fact that we in the USA have the most carnage due to guns. We are not in a war but yet every week we hear of a mass shooting it seems.
