Four years ago, OMNI Neuro started as a vision rooted in one simple belief: when you understand the brain, you change the way you show up in the world.

Today, I’m incredibly proud of how far we’ve come.

We’ve grown into a team of 8, expanded into multi-modality neurofeedback and DNA, and had the privilege of working with some of the most elite athletes in the world, some of the most prestigious 1%ers globally, and everyday individuals who are committed to becoming the best versions of themselves.

But the truth is, this mission is deeply personal for me.

I came from a small town in Kansas with no clear roadmap. After a series of life events—including a concussion that completely changed my trajectory—I found neurofeedback. And it didn’t just change my career… it changed my brain, my health, and my entire life.

Now I get to help others experience that same shift.

Sleep aids aren’t always solving the problem—they’re often just reshaping it.

Many people say, “I’m finally sleeping,” but what’s actually happening under the surface is very different.

Instead of moving through the full architecture of sleep—deep sleep, REM, and the natural cycling your brain needs—many sleep aids push the brain into lighter stages of sleep or REM-dominant patterns. You may be unconscious… but your brain isn’t doing the full restorative work.

And that matters.

Because true recovery happens when your brain can:
Drop into deep, slow-wave sleep (physical repair, immune support, memory consolidation)
Cycle naturally between stages
Reset and regulate for the next day

When that doesn’t happen, you end up in a rinse-and-repeat cycle:
Wake up still tired
Rely on more support the next night
Never fully restore

Over time, this can show up as:
→ Aging FASTER - YIKES
→ Emotional reactivity
→ Poor stress tolerance
→ “Wired but tired” energy

The goal isn’t just to sleep—it’s to restore.
If your brain can’t naturally downshift into deep sleep, the answer isn’t always more sedation… it’s better regulation.

This is where we start asking better questions:
👉 Is the brain stuck in high beta (fight-or-flight)?
👉 Is there unresolved mental chatter or perseveration?
👉 Is the nervous system actually capable of letting go?

Because when the brain learns how to regulate, sleep stops being something you chase—and becomes something your system knows how to do again.

I had a really eye-opening conversation recently with one of our clients—an NFL running back—and it completely reframed how I think about “flow state” in modern athletics.

When I asked him how often he feels like he’s in flow, he said:
“I used to all the time in college… but now the game is just different.”

We went on to discuss that— Instead of grinding through full drives, they’re often rotated in and out for specific plays or downs. One snap here. A few minutes off. Then back in again, and how that impact EVERYTHING.

Flow state isn’t just about skill—it’s about continuity, creativity, and nervous system readiness.

Your brain and body need to be warm, adaptive, and fully engaged to access it.

Now imagine this:
You’re expected to explode into peak performance
With minimal ramp-up time
While processing at elite speed
And making split-second creative decisions

That’s not just physical. That’s neurological.

For positions like running back—or anyone playing situational roles like 3rd down or special teams—the demand isn’t just to get into flow…

It’s to switch into it instantly. Over and over again.

And if the brain can’t do that efficiently?

You see it show up as:
Overthinking instead of reacting
Slower processing speed
Reduced field vision
And most importantly… increased injury risk

We also talked about injuries—and this part hit hard.

If an athlete is going from 0 to 100 for one minute every 10 minutes, that’s a massive strain on both the brain and body. Without the neurological flexibility to stay regulated and responsive, it becomes a recipe for injury—and shortened careers.

This is exactly why we’re so focused on neurofeedback.

Because training the brain to:
Access flow on demand
Stay adaptable under pressure
Process faster without overthinking

…is no longer a luxury in elite sports. It’s a necessity.

The game has evolved.

And the athletes who thrive in it will be the ones whose brains can keep up.

Most people don’t actually have a focus problem.
They have a processing problem… paired with high stress.

In our work, we call this the brain’s Import : Export Ratio.
→ Import = the speed and volume of information coming into your brain
→ Export = your brain’s ability to process, organize, and execute on that information

When your Import > Export, everything starts to break down.

You feel:
Distracted
Overwhelmed
Mentally fatigued
“Stuck” or frozen on simple tasks

Not because you can’t focus—
…but because your brain is backlogged.

The prefrontal cortex—the part of your brain responsible for decision-making, prioritization, and execution—gets:
→ backed up
→ hung up
→ and ultimately slowed down

And here’s the key:
Stress accelerates input while simultaneously decreasing processing efficiency.

So the harder you push… the worse it can feel.

The solution isn’t always “try harder” or “focus more.”

It’s regulating the system so your brain can actually keep up with the demands placed on it.

When processing improves, focus becomes effortless.

There is a reason for the hang ups, the overwhelm and focus issues — we have data to prove it!
