What a moving article about Fire Captain Jesse Blaire in Florida and his efforts to increase access to treatment for substance use disorders.
Access to MAT/MOUD treatment has not always been available to those who need it. The article states that " in 2021, only 1 in 5 people who could have benefited from opioid addiction medication were receiving buprenorphine or another drug therapy."
