Several of our Kansas Emergency Medicine and Hospital Medicine clinicians gathered for a pediatric-focused journal club last night at The Depot Pizza & Taps in Wichita, where they discussed several peer-reviewed articles and how the findings could both reinforce and inform changes to their practice in the emergency department. They also spent a lot of time discussing ways to optimize the transition of care for pediatric patients from the ED to the floor or ICU.

Our Colorado corporate team brought the festive chaos to the office earlier this week! That's right, it was Ugly Sweater Contest time! Lights, bells, lamps — these sweaters had it all! Once all the votes had been tallied, Service Line Supervisor Mike Frieman was crowned champion while Data Analyst Yun Yu took home silver!

Several members of our Blue Sky Neurosciences team attended the American Epilepsy Society (AES) Annual Meeting last weekend in Atlanta, GA. The AES conference offers posters, workshops, lectures, and exhibits on the clinical care of epilepsy. Our team was in attendance to learn more and check out the newest EEG technology!

The evening featured great food, amazing raffle prizes, some friendly competition in games like foosball and ping pong, and, of course, incredible company! We wrapped up the night by donating roughly 150 toys to Denver Santa Claus Shop!
