Have you been told to add a scoop of formula to your bottles? Do you know why? Do you know why baby isn't gaining weight?
If you've been given this advice, please seek out a skilled IBCLC! If it's not me, i can help you find someone near you!
There may be a better, safer solution. There is probably a reason as to why baby isn't gaining weight. Find the root cause to find the best solution! I can promise you, it's NOT adding a scoop of powdered formula to your breastmilk and if we need to add formula, there is an actual recipe for safe fortification 🫣🤯😵‍💫🤬but we need to figure out why!
Advocate for yourself and your baby! It's ok to question instructions and ask for more support! If your gut feels like something isn't right, but you dont know what it is.....follow it!
