For some people, this might happen in noisy crowds, bright lights, or after a long day of constant social interaction. When sensory overload hits, all you want is some peace and quiet—a break from all the stimuli—to reset and recharge.

It’s not about being anti-social or moody; it’s just that your brain needs a break. Everyone’s tolerance level is different, so while some people can handle a lot of stimulation, others need time to themselves to avoid feeling frazzled. That’s why it’s important to understand that needing space isn’t a bad thing—it’s just part of taking care of your mental and emotional well-being.

When my crafty side comes out at 4am after the bf leaves but before the kids get up.. Been waiting months to just do it! Yay!
