HYDRATED SKIN IS
HEALTHY SKIN 💧
June 23rd is National Hydration Day —a reminder of what your skin really needs.
Hydration and moisturization
aren’t the same. Hydration pulls water into your cells, plumping skin for a smooth,
radiant look.
Moisturization locks that hydration
in and strengthens your skin barrier. Skip one, and you’re either locking in
dryness—or letting hydration escape.
The simple facts:
•Hydration equals water, and moisture equals emollients
(fats and oils).
•Hydration refers to plumping your skin with
water.
•If your skin is dehydrated, it is lacking water. If your skin is dry,
it’s lacking oil.
•Moisturizers form protective barriers to lock in the hydration.
•You can achieve skin hydration by taking care of your body from the inside out (drink plenty of water and consume hydrating foods) and by using products
formulated to draw in moisture like Hyaluronic Acid.
