Join us this Tuesday night at 7:30 PM (EST) for a very special Rooted in Recovery meeting.

This week we are honored to welcome Pam Jones Lanhart, director of Thrive Family Support and author of the book Praying Our Loved One Home.

Pam is the mother of an adult son who struggled with addiction, and she has dedicated her life to helping families find healing, understanding, and hope. She is a family coach, author, speaker, and filmmaker who has spent years walking alongside families impacted by addiction.

This meeting is open to EVERYONE in recovery, family members, and friends. Pam will be sharing her experience, her wisdom, and helping answer some of the tough questions families often carry.

In our opinion, Pam is an angel here to help bring the healing so many families need.

This is not a meeting you want to miss. It has the potential to impact your life and your family for years to come.

Thank you, Pam, for your dedication to this cause.
We look forward to seeing everyone Tuesday night at 7:30 PM.

Please help us congratulate 4 of our alumni who celebrated annual milestones with us tonight!

Congratulations to Erin, Brad, and Shaun on TWO YEARS SOBER, and Jordy W. on ONE YEAR SOBER.

Thank you for your dedication not only to your own personal recovery, but also to helping many others along the way. We are grateful to have each of you as part of our Alumni family!

We would also like to thank all the families who showed up this evening and a very special thank you to Horry County Fire Rescue for granting Jordy a scholarship into our program one year ago. They have been a vital resource in helping many individuals seeking treatment and tonight we get to celebrate the outcome of that!

This Tuesday at 7:30 PM 💛

We are so excited to have Mike & Evie leading our Rooted meeting.

As parents and as a couple walking recovery from the family side, they bring a perspective that is powerful, honest, and full of love.

They have been pillars in our Tuesday night community — steady, faithful, wise.

Recovery doesn’t just change the individual.
It transforms families.
It reshapes marriages.
It invites healing into the whole system.

If you’ve ever wondered:
• What does recovery look like for parents?
• How do couples grow through it?
• How do you love well without losing yourself?

This is the room to be in.

Please help us celebrate two of our alumni who picked up a total of TEN YEARS SOBER tonight!

Congratulations to Steven G. on EIGHT YEARS and Matt D. on TWO YEARS!

Both of these men have decided to plant roots in Greenwood after completing our program and have now become instrumental parts of our local alumni family. They continue to serve Oaks on a daily basis and have made our community a better place as a result of their decision to get sober!

And a very special thank you to New Directions of Horry County for sending Steven to us 8 years ago. He was the very first resident to come in through their treatment scholarship program, which was new at the time. Through Steven’s success, he has opened the door for HUNDREDS of new residents who have come to us from Horry County in the last 8 years through the very same funding!

Tonight is a special one for us at Oaks Recovery.

Help us congratulate Oaks alumni/staff member Robert G. on 10 YEARS of continuous sobriety.

This 10 years represents so much more than abstinence from drugs and alcohol. It represents a willingness to trust God and the many blessings recovery offers when you’re honest and open minded.

When Rob came to Oaks, he was hoping this 8th time checking into treatment would be his last. Two weeks in, he wanted to leave. Instead of making a decision that could have possibly ended his life, he made the courageous decision to stay and do the work for the life he has today.

And here we are 10 years later.

Rob is a homeowner. A devoted father to three incredible boys. A loving husband to his wife, Melissa. An active member of our community and the local church. And every single day, he shows up to help navigate families and their loved ones into a life that looks a lot like the one he’s built.

From all of us at Oaks, the many families around our country and your little boys-thank you for the decision to stay.

Thank you for your service and heart for others.

We love you.
Congratulations on 10 years. 💙💙💙

FEBRUARY AT ROOTED
✨ Community Member–Led Conversations ✨

This month, Rooted is turning the mic toward the heart of what makes this space what it is: the people.

Each week in February, a community member will lead our gathering—sharing lived experience, reflection, and the stories that have shaped their recovery and growth.

We’re kicking things off with Chris, an Oaks alumni and former staff member, now living in North Carolina and building a beautiful new chapter with his family.

Chris will be weaving together:
• his personal life experiences
• insights from the first three steps of a 12-step program
• and—yes—Frankenstein by Mary Shelley

(All in service of exploring how story, meaning, and narrative shape what’s possible in recovery.)

These meetings aren’t about having it all figured out.
They’re about honest reflection, shared humanity, and learning from one another.

Come as you are.
You belong here.
