Please help us congratulate 2 of our Alumni who celebrated sobriety milestones during this Friday night commencement!

Congratulations to Chance S. on TWO YEARS SOBER and Jerome B. on ONE YEAR SOBER!

Both of these individuals have to decided to start their lives over here in Greenwood after completing our program and are committed to giving back to the residents who are sitting in the very same seats where their journey started.

By being willing to follow some simple directions, they can now describe their lives as being “happy, joyous, and free” and these pictures are the proof!

Another HUGE night at Oaks Recovery, as we celebrated SIX of our alumni picking up annual chips! Congratulations to Kim and Chyna on THREE YEARS SOBER and Griselda, Scott, David, and Pat on ONE YEAR SOBER!

We had alumni travel from all over the Country to be with us this evening! One of them even lived on property with our residents this entire week, just to be of service and help as many people as he could!

Unfortunately, one of them couldn’t make it due to flight cancellations, but we were able to video him in to celebrate with us (and we were even able to photoshop him in the picture below 😜).

Thank you everyone for sharing your testimonies of hope tonight. We get to witness families being restored every single Friday night!

We look forward to seeing everyone back next year and thank you all for being walking beacons of hope!

Rooted Community Community
Tonight at 7:30 PM (EST)

Topic: The Vicious Cycle of Our Thinking

Sometimes it’s not the situation keeping us stuck—it’s the story we keep replaying about it.
That quiet loop where pain turns to fear, fear turns to control, and control turns to disappointment… bringing us right back to pain again.

Without realizing it, we start to manufacture our own misery, reacting from old wounds instead of new awareness.

Tonight, we’re slowing down to take a deeper look at that cycle—how our thoughts can create unnecessary suffering, and how awareness, honesty, and spiritual connection can help us step out of it.

Be bold tonight—your voice matters.

Rooted Community Meeting is open to anyone walking the path of recovery or supporting a loved one.
All are welcome to join us in a space of honesty, healing, and connection.

Freedom doesn’t come from changing our circumstances—it begins when we change our perspective.

Rooted in Recovery: Walking Through Fear to Freedom
Tonight at 7:30 PM (EST)

Real freedom isn’t found in staying the same—
it’s born in the courage to walk through fear again and again toward who we’re becoming.

Tonight, we’re opening up an honest conversation about the resistance that shows up when we’re being called to change—the parts of us that cling to what’s familiar, even when it’s what’s holding us back.

Recovery reminds us: freedom doesn’t come from comfort.
It comes from movement, from courage, from walking through fear with faith.

Join us tonight as we explore what it means to walk through fear to freedom—together.

What an exciting night as we celebrated our very own staff, Richard C. on TEN YEARS SOBER and Oaks Alumni, Jason S. on ONE YEAR SOBER!

Richard has been our Program Director for almost a decade, but his journey with us started out just like any other resident. When he first arrived he was beat down, broken, and not left with much hope. However, after he surrendered to the program entirely, he was able to find a new found freedom through his relationship with Jesus. He is now a devout husband, father to four beautiful children, and a crucial piece of the puzzle that makes Oaks Recovery what it is today!

We would also like to celebrate Oaks Alumni, Jason on his beautiful milestone this evening! Your powerful testimony has been a beautiful display of how God truly is the great restorer!

Thank you to both of these men for all they do to give back to those who are looking for a new way of life!

Please help us congratulate Oaks alumni, Jackie B. on THREE YEARS SOBER!

Jackie came all the way from New York to enter our program 3 years ago, and like most people who travel to us from out of state, the plan was never to stay here after treatment.

However, after putting in the work, creating a beautiful fellowship, and falling in love with serving others, Jackie had decided to start her life over in Greenwood, SC!

Jackie, we are so grateful for Alumni like yourself, who constantly give back to our residents! Thank you for being a powerful example to all of our ladies, and for sharing your powerful testimony this evening!

Rooted in Recovery – Open Q&A with Brian & Kim
Tonight at 7:30 PM

Tonight’s meeting will be a little different — we’re opening the floor for an open discussion and Q&A with Brian and Kim.

This is a space for both sides of recovery — those walking the path of healing from addiction and the family members learning how to love and support them along the way.

Bring your questions, your reflections, or your experience, strength, and hope.

These open meetings are an opportunity to reconnect, reflect, and grow together as a community.

All are welcome. Come as you are.

When life feels calm again, it’s easy to drift—away from the practices that once kept us grounded. But our growth doesn’t stop when the storms settle.

Tonight at Rooted in Recovery, we’re talking about The Effects of Letting Up on Our Spiritual Program of Action.

Let’s explore what happens when we stop doing the inner work that set us free—and how to stay rooted in spiritual growth that keeps us thriving.

Please help us congratulate Oaks Alumni, Alice G. on TWO YEARS SOBER!

6 and a half years ago, Alice’s nephew came through our program and had the honor of introducing her this evening. They both spoke about the effect addiction can have on a family, but more importantly the effect RECOVERY can have on a family as well!

Both Alice and her nephew Justo still reside in Greenwood, and have made a commitment to helping every single person they possible can.

Thank you Alice for all you do and please keep shining your light on all over our residents!

Rooted in Recovery – Wednesday Zoom Meeting

“As long as I put Recovery first, everything I put second will be first class.”

This week, we’ll explore what it really means to live from this truth. How do we keep Recovery at the center while showing up fully for our families, careers, and relationships? What happens when something else comes before Recovery — and what shifts when we put it first?

Join us for a night of honest reflection and community. All are welcome.

Please help us congratulate Oaks Alumni, John O. on ONE YEAR SOBER tonight!

When John first arrived to Oaks, he had a sincere desire to change his life. After putting in the work and completing our program, he decided to plant roots in Greenwood and continue to follow his dreams. He recently received his CDL license and will be finally turning his goals into realities. Thank you for all you do John and we are so proud of you!

And special thank you to Herren Project for referring John to Oaks one year ago. It takes a village!
