On the 29th day of December my favorite office gave to me the dirty dozen… thinking about being more organic in 2026 but $$ got you 😬??
Instead of focusing on perfection focus on the dirty dozen first. Why? Some foods carry a much higher pesticide load, and those chemicals matter for the brain.

On the 28th day of December, our favorite office gave to me… some food for thought.
Before you plan the next year, pause and ask: “What actually matters to me?” Clarity starts with values, not goals.
What a core value is: A core value is a non-negotiable filter for decisions. It keeps you from saying yes to things that drain you and no to things that matter.
How to define your core values: 👉 Look at what repeatedly frustrates you → a value is being violated 👉 Look at what feels calm, right, or energizing → that’s alignment 👉 Pick 3 words you want every big decision to pass
Examples of value words: • Integrity • Peace • Growth • Freedom • Health • Faith • Presence • Discipline • Connection • Excellence • Honesty • Simplicity
Not sure your words? Don’t pick what sounds good. Pick the words you already protect with your time, energy, and boundaries. If a choice doesn’t match your values, it costs you energy.
Your values should simplify decisions, not complicate them.

On the 27th day of December, our favorite office gave to me, an “oh snap” moment about my supplement routine (no shame… we’ve done it too)
Think of it this way: Supplements are the backup singers. Food is the lead. If you’re taking supplements but not eating the foods they’re meant to support, you’re missing the point.
Quick guide: supplement → food partner
• Magnesium → leafy greens, pumpkin seeds • Omega-3s → salmon, sardines, walnuts • Vitamin D → egg yolks, fatty fish, sunlight • B-complex → quality protein, legumes, greens • Probiotics → yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut • Antioxidants → berries, colorful veggies
Whole foods provide co-factors, fiber, enzymes, and signals supplements alone cannot. That’s what actually improves absorption, reduces inflammation, and supports mood and cognition.

• Start really small (smaller than you think) • Pick one habit, not five • Do it at the same time every day • Tie it to something you already do • Don’t wait to feel motivated • Messing up once doesn’t mean you quit • Try again the next day • Keep going even when it feels boring
That’s how habits grow. One small step at a time.

On the 24th day of December, our favorite office gave to me… a better plan for family gatherings when you know things might be hard.
Because the holidays shouldn’t require operating in survival mode.
• Lower expectations, not your standards Hope for neutral, not transformed. Keep your values intact
• Boundaries don’t require speeches + “I’m not discussing that today.”
+ “I’m going to step away for a minute.”
+ “No, thank you.”
• Regulate first. Respond second Slow your breath. Feel your feet. Let your body settle before your mouth engages.
• Observe instead of absorb You can notice behavior without carrying it home with you. Not your circus, not your monkeys (even if they are related to you, sometimes people have to face their own consequences and own chaos).
• Plan for the triggers If politics, comments, or old dynamics are predictable, plan your response ahead of time. You don’t have to win. And you don’t need to numb (drink/smoke) the time away… sit with the uncomfortable and then leave. It’s ok to decide this isn’t for you in a nonreactive, healthy way (if when you’re related… read Boundaries).
