We didn’t get to post a picture yesterday of our wonderful patient, Wayne. If you missed it, his story and video were posted on FB - go back and watch it and prepare to be inspired! We are so proud of him and wish him the best! Come back and see us Wayne! We will miss you!!!

Wayne came to Community Rehabilitation Hospital South after he had a spinal fusion. On his first day of therapy, Wayne was unable to walk or sit unsupported without help from a therapist. He needed help from two people for all transfers and self-care tasks. After about a week, he was able to transfer and ambulate with minimal assistance from a therapist while using a walker.
Wayne continued to consistently progress throughout the rest of his stay and by his discharge he was able to independently complete self-care tasks and walk using a cane! Wayne always kept a positive
attitude and loved to make his therapists laugh; We will miss his funny jokes and witty personality, but we are so excited for him to go home!
