Do your period cramps get you down? They this yoga flow for some relief and as a preventative.

If your periods have your uterus in a knot each month, yoga can make a difference in pain relief, done both preventatively and while experiencing discomfort. It can significantly reduce or completely eliminate your need for pain medications. So consider yoga for going au naturale with your cycles.

Luna Flow is a yoga sequence I share in Hormone Intelligence that you’ll love and I hope brings you ease. It’s a beautiful flow to do even if your moontime is already generally symptom free, to improve pelvic circulation and nourish inner peace.

These asanas that have been specifically found in studies, to reduce period pain and pelvic discomfort.

🧘‍♀️ Cat + Cow: Get onto all fours. With a deep, slow exhale, drop your belly toward the ground, stretching your lower back and lower abdomen. Next, with a deep, slow inhale, arch your back, tucking your tailbone under, elongating your lower spine. Repeat eight times, rhythmically inhaling and exhaling with each movement.

🧘‍♀️ Expanded Child’s Pose: Walk your hands forward toward the front of your yoga mat, bringing your chest and belly toward the ground, widening your knees, and dropping your hips toward the floor. Feel a delicious stretch in your hips and lower back.

🧘‍♀️ Open-Hearted Pose: Place a pillow toward the upper third of your mat and lie on your back so that the lower part of the pillow lands just below your shoulder blades, and your head and neck are extended, draping off the top. Place the heels of your feet together, letting your knees drop to each side. A rolled towel or bolster can be placed under your knees for extra support. Lie in this position as you transition into the next optional practice.

🧘‍♀️ Resting Goddess: Remove the pillow from under your back, but keep your legs in the same position. Lie here for 3 to 10 minutes, breathing deeply and slowly.

Finish with a hot shower with essential oils to add to the benefits. Take a hot water bottle to bed with you, and position yourself comfortably draped over a body pillow. And oh yes, practice a little ta**ra, too! Or***ms during your period can help relieve cramps. help you sleep, and lighten and shorten your flow if you also have heavy periods.

A wise friend shared this.
Ways to help the power grid:
-turn off or unplug anything you're not using
-hold off on doing laundry or wash in cold water and air dry your clothes
-keep all of your blinds closed. Hang blankets on the sunniest windows. Not a good look but effective.
-do not turn on your stove. At all. If you have to, use the stove top only. Check your local farmers market for tons of beautiful produce for salads.
-don't run the dishwasher, or if you have to, run it in the middle of the night.
-keep doors and windows tightly shut if you're running a/c
-try to keep your fridge and freezer full so it runs efficiently
-when this is over, if you have the means, prioritize energy upgrades to your home.

TIME IS SHORT | ACT NOW
SB 772 ND Health Insurance Pay Parity is resting at the desk of the co-chairs of Ways and Means because PEBB and OEBB have also been paying NDs as little as 50% the going rate for our services.

MOVING FORWARD, NOT MOVING ON

“Moving forward” or “moving on”. They sound like such similar phrases, don’t they? But in the context of grief the difference between “on” or “forward” is huge.

When you’re grieving for a precious pet – or indeed a person who you love – people will often say things like, “Isn’t it time you moved on?” or “You’ll move on eventually” or even, “I’m glad to see you’ve moved on”.

But the idea of moving on from a loved one can be incredibly distressing.

Moving on implies leaving something behind. It suggests that the animal, for example, was a moment or place that you can put behind you when, in fact, he or she was a member of your family and you’ll never get over that loss – not in the way that moving on implies, anyway.

Please take the time to watch these videos so you can recognize drowning when you see it. That way we can all enjoy being near the water on a warm day.

In 10 percent of drownings, adults are nearby but have no idea the victim is dying. Here’s what to look for.

Does this resonate with you? How have you addressed this in your family?

When it comes to household responsibilities, women perform far more cognitive and emotional labour than men. Why is this, and is there anything we can do about it?

After the age of 3, the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends all children visit a doctor for a general “well-child visit” once a year. These appointments include screenings and assessments recommended from infancy through adolescence. If your child is due for a well-child check, call your doctor's office to learn what extra steps they're taking to keep patients safe. And if you're a CareOregon member and need an appointment, please visit www.careoregon.org/care for more information.
