I am Julie Ordway, a newly certified yoga teacher and a student of yoga for over 20 years. I am passionate about creating accessible and welcoming spaces for all students. My classes focus on safe and proper alignment, intentional movement to build strength and empowerment and breath awareness. Classes are beginner-friendly and offered in a safe, judgment-free environment.
I completed my 200-hour teacher training at Soma Yoga Institute in Spring 2026, where I developed a love for slow, intentional movement, breathwork, and meditation. With a better knowledge and understanding of proper alignment, yoga philosophy, mind-body connection, and different pranayama techniques, I hope to help students find a balance between strengthening and softening into the experience of yoga so students can leave class feeling peaceful, present and good about themselves.
I believe yoga is for everyone, and my goal is to help you move, breathe, and feel a little more at ease in your body. When I’m not on the mat, you can find me enjoying the beautiful Oregon outdoors— biking, paddleboarding, kayaking, or hiking with my rescue dog, Dottie, or indoors on rainy days baking homemade sourdough bread.
