Did you know?
According to the U.S. Surgeon General’s Advisory on Social Media and Youth Mental Health, and corroborated by Yale Medicine and the Pew Research Center, excessive use, especially more than 3 hours per day, is associated with an increased risk of depression among teens and young adults.
Research shows that teens and young adults who spend more than 3 hours a day on social media are at a higher risk of depression? Small changes can make a big difference. Try setting daily time limits, unfollow accounts that don’t serve your well-being, and take tech breaks to reconnect with yourself.

Comparing your life to others online can lower self-esteem, but taking time offline helps you focus on your own growth and peace. Remember, taking care of your mind is an act of self-love. Choose what nourishes you every day.

Grief isn’t just about loss; it touches each person in their own unique way. You might notice sadness, anger, numbness, changes in sleep or appetite, or even physical aches and pains. Some people feel isolated, while others experience waves of emotion that come and go.

Grief can impact our entire well-being: emotionally, physically, and even socially. Cultural background, community, and personal beliefs often shape how we express and process grief, and it's important to support every unique experience.

Coping strategies can include talking with trusted friends or family, engaging in creative outlets, journaling, practicing mindfulness, joining support groups, or honoring memories in meaningful ways. Remember, it’s okay to take things one day at a time and find what works best for you: there’s no right or wrong way to grieve.

At L&G Support Services, LLC, we walk alongside every journey. You’re not alone; your feelings matter and are a part of your healing journey.

Hi friends,
You guessed it. It's Mental Illness Awareness week!!!

“The Quiet Fight”
In silent rooms, the mind may race,
A thousand thoughts, no resting place.
Behind each smile, a storm may brew,
Yet strength is found in making it through.
Not every wound is seen or heard,
Not every pain speaks with a word.
But still we rise, and still we try,
To hold the light, to reach the sky.
A gentle check-in, “Are you okay?”
Might be the hope that saves the day.
So let us listen, let us care,
Let’s show the world we’re truly there.

For every soul that walks this road,
You’re not alone—you’re not a load.
Mental illness is not a shame,
It’s part of life, not just a name.

This week we stand, this week we speak,
For those who feel unheard, unseen,
Together strong, together kind— We lift each other, mind by mind.

Hi all!!
This month is very near and dear to me. It is July, Disability Pride Month, and it’s a time to recognize, respect, and truly include people with disabilities; not just in words, but in action.
Most people that have a disability whether physical, intellectual, or a mental health diagnosis aren’t asking for special treatment. They’re asking for the same opportunities, the same dignity, and the same chance to thrive as anyone else.
That means making space. That means listening. That means creating environments where people feel like they belong; not just legally, but emotionally and practically.
Accommodations aren’t extras, they are essentials. Noone deserves to be stared at, mocked, or made to feel like they don’t belong. My father had his leg amputated at 73, and it’s heartbreaking to see how often people stop and stare at him. It’s inappropriate, and it’s painful.
Before we judge, let’s try to walk a mile in someone else’s shoes. We might see strength where we once saw difference. We might find understanding where there was once discomfort.
Let’s develop spaces that reflect empathy, respect, and true inclusion. Let’s stand beside the disability community—not just in July, but every day.

Be kind, dont judge, offer support!!!

Hi guys,
We apologize for not having a post out lately. It's a new year and January promotes wellness. We want to ensure that we remind you of the need to properly care for your personal needs. Many do not realize the implications of stress on the mind, body, and soul. It is important to treat our bodies as "the" ultimate investment. Your body is the vehicle that carries you through life, an irreplaceable asset. Why not treat it like the precious investment it truly is?
Let's examine reasons for investing in our bodies:
Just like financial investments grow over time, caring for your body today pays off with long-term health, energy, and vitality.
The better you maintain it, the more it will give back.

Here's how you can take small yet powerful steps toward stress relief:
Mind:
1-Practice mindfulness or meditation for just 5-10 minutes a day.
2-Write down 3 things you're grateful for each evening.
3-Limit your screen time and immerse yourself in a good book or podcast.

Body:
1-Get moving! A walk, yoga, or even dancing to your favorite music can work wonders.
2-Nourish yourself with whole, nutritious foods that fuel your energy.
3-Prioritize sleep – a well-rested body is better equipped to handle stress.

Soul:
1-Spend time doing what you love, whether it's painting, gardening, or simply being in nature.
2-Connect with loved ones who uplift and support you.
3-Reflect, pray, or engage in activities that align with your values and bring inner peace.

Remember, self-care isn’t selfish – it’s essential. Make yourself a priority today because your well-being matters! You only get one body – treat it with the care and respect it deserves. The dividends? A healthier, happier YOU for years to come!!!!!

More tips:

By taking small steps toward living a healthy life, like making healthy food choices, being physically active on a regular basis, maintaining a healthy body weight, giving your body the gift good sleep, and not using to***co products, the science confirms you can help reduce your risk of heart disea...

To all the caregivers out there—thank you for the love, strength, and steadfast support you give every single day. You often go unseen, but your sacrifices don’t go unappreciated. Whether you’re caring for a family member, friend, or loved one, you’re making an incredible difference. 💙

Take a moment this month (and every month) to remember that self-care isn’t selfish. You deserve it too. 🙏 Let’s show up for those who show up for us, offering support, a listening ear, or a helping hand whenever we can.

Caregiving is tough, but together, we can lift each other up.
